“Who is this guy?” Medrick had that feel after seeing his punch.
“That’s it? I didn’t think this would be this easy,” the injured man muttered, surprised.
“Don’t think like that, we need to escape soon,” Ken told them, coming from behind.
“Ken, why are you speaking with our enemy like that?” Medrick asked.
“Enemy? He is human after all, he had lost his friend, I am one of the reasons for it,” Ken replied.
“Also, he is not really a bad guy; we became friends,” Ken added, with a smile.
Even though the remaining two didn’t think like that, they didn’t oppose Ken’s words.
“Where are your other friends, Ken?” the injured man asked.
“They should be here somewhere,” Ken replied, and began walking forward.
After walking just a bit, they saw both Andrew and Galen lying there.
Ken ran towards Andrew and tried speaking to him, waking him up.
“Andrew! I know you are fine, I am sorry for being late, see me,” he began begging, tears almost came out.
Medrick stepped towards Galen and tried waking him up.
Andrew opened his eyes. He had a slight smile on his face when he saw Ken.
“I am sorry for letting him go. I failed!” Andrew apologised even though he couldn’t speak properly.
“Don’t speak like that, idiot! I worried about you guys,” Ken said, happy seeing Andrew speak.
“Is Galen fine?” Andrew asked.
Ken didn’t reply to anything and quietly walked towards Galen.
Galen couldn’t open his eyes, but due to Medrick pulling him back and forth, he opened his eyes after a few minutes.
He had a lot of pain throughout his body as he used a lot of energy in his fights.
“Medrick, you are fine, thank god!” Galen’s first words upon seeing Medrick.
“I have never seen him like this,” Ken thought.
Andrew could hear Galen’s words; he felt happy hearing him speak.
On the other hand,
The scarred man is losing the fight. He had never imagined a scenario like this. He never imagined someone could defeat him in a sword fight.
This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
“I don’t know how I am feeling. I didn’t want to touch a sword again, but fate has made me do this—” the veteran fighting the scarred man.
“Who is he? He is not a normal prisoner,” the scarred man thought.
Hollow Delay!!
The veteran’s attack barely hit the scarred man. The sword he has doesn’t have the quality, but his technique of using it makes it so powerful.
Impulse Descent!!
The scarred man attempted his attack, but he couldn’t properly target the veteran.
“What is happening here?” The scarred man sensed that he was on the verge of defeat.
Parallax Burst!!
The veteran unleashed one of his powerful moves, but this time, the scarred man received a heavy blow.
He had never seen a move like this in his life; he was completely shocked by it. The move felt forbidden as there was no way to stop it or escape from it.
The veteran is in total control of the battle as he is not allowing the scarred man to use his strikes by forcing him block or survive his attacks.
The scarred man took a second to reconsider his strategy. He was also getting exhausted by the veteran’s moves.
“I must use that, I have no other choice,” The scarred man muttered.
Back to Ken,
“We should escape this place soon,” Medrick shared his thought.
“We can, but he is still fighting,” Ken replied.
“Who?” Andrew asked.
“The veteran commander,” the injured man told them.
Others were shocked by hearing it.
“Commander?” Ken couldn’t believe it.
“Not our region,” the injured man clarified.
The conversation ended as they felt an immense strike.
“It must be from there,” the injured man gave his opinion.
Ken began running inside as he felt something was wrong.
Meanwhile,
Both Harkey and the knight are reaching prison as they were just 20 minutes away.
“What could be happening there? Should I go near the prison or stay at the place Ken gave me?” Harkey is in doubt.
He increased the speed of the car as he had a hunch that things might be chaotic there. He was not coming from the side that the knight was coming from.
2 minutes before the sound came from the battle,
The scarred man knew that he was losing, so he decided to use his strongest move on the veteran.
“You made me use this,” the scarred man muttered, about to use his attack.
Destiny Destroyer!!!
The scarred man unleashed an extreme move that he had only used thrice in his battles, and last used several months ago against his chief.
The veteran couldn’t react quickly, not only because of a lack of fight, as he had been in prison for over 2 decades, but also because of the speed of the move reaching him.
That strike not only hit the veteran, but also the walls surrounding.
“I need to play with you more, but I have to release them quickly,” The scarred man muttered as he began walking forward towards the second level.
“Fate had saved you for now, but I will kill you once I save them,” he added while crossing him.
The prisoners remained quiet due to the dangerous presence of the scarred man. They felt safer in there rather than asking for help from him.
After some searching, he found Rheos and his men.
“How have you been, Rheo?” the scarred man asked.
“I know it’s you, I felt from that attack, I couldn’t believe you used it here,” Rheos replied.
“Our men were waiting for you and the chief,” he added.
“Sorry for making you guys wait, and also, our chief will be coming here; he is on his way,” The scarred man muttered.
Then, he asked Rheos to go back, as he was about to break the cell with his sword.
Strike!!
The strike was strong; every prisoner felt the vibration, but it was not strong enough to break the cell.
Axial Whip!!
This time, the cell broke due to the immense power behind that strike.
Rheos and his men were freed after several months.
“Where is Veris?” the scarred man asked.
“I heard him screaming, he—” Rheos paused for a second and ran forward.
The scarred man also ran, seeing Rheos.
On the way to the third level, both of them saw Veris.
Both Rheos and the scarred man were on their knees, holding their tears when they saw him.
“Veris!!!!!” Rheos screamed hard.
“If only I were quicker enough, I would have saved you,” the scarred man began crying too.
Rheos hit his head, tears flowing, and he was frustrated at himself.
All their men began crying too, seeing Veris.
“I am the reason for this, kill me, commander, kill me now itself!!” Rheos told the scarred man, crying his heart out.
The scarred man never felt this much for anyone, but his life changed completely when he met and became the commander.
On the other side,
Ken saw the veteran lying on the ground.
“Wake up, what had happened to you?” Ken tried waking him up.
“What had just happened?” Ken thought.
