  One of the newest Masks, a teenager named Conner, was recruited by Flint Isaia, better known to Miracle City as Death Head. After Conner spent over two years as Death Head’s devoted sidekick, Incognus, a fatal beating changed everything. Conner awoke from his near-death state to become the first person in known history to possess supernatural powers. With these abilities, he donned the new identity of the Shining Darkness and labeled himself as the world’s first Super Mask. In only half a year, he successfully reduced organized crime in Miracle City to non-existence.

  Behind the scenes of history, an organization of societal ‘elites’ known as the Shadow Council has pulled the world's strings. Akin to the idea of "Big Brother" or the "Deep State", the Shadow Council has used all means, up to and including the secret art of magic, to control the world.

  They have controlled society for time unknown and are currently led by Austin Majors, the head of all organized crime across most of the world. However, the Shadow Council saw the arrival of the Shining Darkness as a threat to their control and began making efforts to ruin his reputation until they could find a way to kill or capture him. Now, they are organizing an effort to empower their special forces to take down the Shining Darkness by whatever means they deem necessary.

  In turn, Conner and his allies were able to partially deduce the Shadow Council’s existence. Now, Conner marches to Disaster Prison to interrogate an underling of the Shadow Council, the former crime boss of Miracle City, Sally Penspot. A ruthless woman who only sits imprisoned because of the Shining Darkness.

  Along his journeys, Conner also encountered and bested a violent psychopath calling himself King Chaos and his gang of monsters. Chaos was a teenage genius who empowered himself and his cohorts to go on a murderous rampage. However, soon after being captured and imprisoned, King Chaos freed himself and his gang after he’d been framed as working for Shining Darkness by the Shadow Council.

  Now, the Shadow Council looks to kill and capture Conner and Chaos; Conner wishes to end the threats to innocent people that the Shadow Council and King Chaos pose; and King Chaos seeks to destroy everyone he can get his hands on, starting with the Shadow Council and Shining Darkness.
