Angeline looked at the health potions and touched her chin and then nodded.
“As you expect, these potions are not that great, and they are the simplest health potions that can only cure small wounds and sickness.”
Marcus nodded. He knew that for different kinds of sickness and other types of health, it involves “Cure Sickness” potions. His potions are the simplest ones.
Angeline then added.
“I can pay you five drake for each potion, a total of twenty-five drake."
"A total of two gold septims and five silver drakes, what do you say?"
Marcus thought for a moment to not look too interested and then nodded.
“I used your alchemy table, so I think you are fair.”
Angeline nodded.
“Great.”
“Here.”
She gave two gold septims and five silver drakes to him and then took the potions and vials Marcus made and put them into one of her chests.
Marcus then said.
“Can I make more potions here?"
Angeline nodded.
“You can if nobody is using it and if you keep it clean. Because of the war between the Empire and Stormcloaks, the need for health potions is many.”
“So, I can buy what you do for the same rate if you keep doing it.”
Marcus nodded and then, without saying anything more, left and directly went to the Winking Skeever.
He entered and then sat down at the bar table.
A middle-aged man looked at him and then smiled.
“Hello, friend. My name is Corpulus Vinius. What can I get you?"
Marcus felt the hunger and then asked.
“How much for a stew?"
Vinius looked at Marcus for a moment and then said.
“Depends.”
“I have two selections of stew right now.”
“Hot Beef Stew and Hot Apple-Cabbage Stew.”
“Two silver drakes for the beef stew and one for the apple-cabbage stew.”
Marcus nodded and then said.
“I would like a hot beef stew."
Vinius nodded and smiled.
“Good choice.”
In just moments, the man went to the kitchen back and then put a huge bowl of stew with meat chunks easily visible and hot steam on the top of it and nodded.
“Enjoy.”
Marcus took two silver drakes from his pocket and pced them on the table, which Vinius took.
He then started eating.
“Oh.”
“It feels so good.”
“Really tasty," Marcus thought as he ate like a wolf.
After spending three hours in the wilderness and all the thoughts about the future and understanding what is happening around him, hot beef stew felt like an edible dream.
It was great, and the volume was also pretty good.
Marcus then asked Vinius.
“Do you have room for me to rest?"
Vinius nodded.
“Of course.”
“It is five drakes a day; the room also includes a simple breakfast.”
Marcus nodded and then asked for a mead.
“Coming.”
Vinius took a bottle of mead, a simple Nord mead, and then put it on the table.
“One drake."
He said it, and Marcus paid.
Vinius then added.
“It seems like you are new in Solitude, my friend...”
Marcus understood why he asked him if he was new; most local people would know the prices, but he did not.
“Yeah, I have a confusing past.”
Vinius nodded.
“Yeah.”
“I understand.” After saying that he understood, he did not talk anymore.
Marcus smiled as he drank full gulp from the mead and nodded.
“After a hearty meal, mead is really great. I understand the way of living of the north and the people," he thought.
After the mead was finished, Marcus also paid five more drakes to Vinius and rented a room for himself for a day.
He spent about one gold septim and one drake in total.
Ten drakes equal one gold septim; the most basic necessities can be bought by the drakes, which was great.
After he rented the room, he left the inn before the night.
He wanted to buy himself more quality and thick clothing, preferably a hood too; he felt like he was about to freeze to death when he was back in the wilderness.
He was just wearing a thin long-sleeved shirt and some leather; it was not nearly enough for the Skyrim cold weather.
At first, what he had in mind was to go to Radiant Raiment, but then he noticed that there are many other clothing shops that are much cheaper and still good quality.
“I should not forget that this is my reality now and the area is fifty to a hundred times bigger.”
“It would be a joke that the only clothing store in the whole Solitude would be the Radiant Raiment, like in the game.”
Not much time ter, he spent one septim for leather boots, a robe with a lot of fur to provide warmth, gloves, and a fur hoodie.
After he wore everything, he felt much more comfortable and did not feel the cold that much anymore.
“Next morning, I will look for a bag, but for the time being, I want to rest.”
Now that Marcus was capable of earning money for himself with alchemy, he at least understands that he is safer than ever.
