The Escape

A tungsten cage landed directly on Berto and Hot Head.

They tried to escape, but they couldn’t, the cage seemed indestructible.

“WHAT THE..! WHAT THE HECK IS THIS CAGE MADE OF!?” Hot Head exclaimed in agony.

“It looks like refined tungsten… WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO ESCAPE!!” Berto said in despair.

Triff, who was hiding in the bushes nearby, had no choice and fled the place, leaving Hot Head and Berto behind.

“I’m sorry… I can’t save you, I’m just too weak,” Triff said, with tears in his eyes.

The mark-2 pollinator robots took Hot Head and Berto to a secret prison located in the underground floors of Rob HQ, with a level of security that only a very experienced ninja would have a chance of overcoming.

Triff ran to the Depths of Robtopia, sad and agonized that he had returned to the same place where he started…

  “I can’t believe it… I thought I could finally be useful for something…”

  His anger builds up…

“WHY AM I SO COWARDLY?! WHY AM I SO WEAK?! WHY AM I SO USELESS!?” Triff shouted, frustrated with everything that was happening.

That same night, Triff went to a bar to “ease the pain,” and he drank so much oil that he began hallucinating. Out of the corner of his eye, it even seemed like he saw a figure on the other side of the bar watching him, but he knew he was drunk and must have thought it was just another hallucination.

He left the bar, distressed, and began having visions of his friends in prison.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“WE WOULDN’T BE HERE IF YOU WEREN’T A FREAKING COWARD,” said the hallucination of Hot Head.

“I can’t believe you betrayed us like that…” said the hallucination of Berto.

Triff fainted in the middle of the street and woke up in a very shady alley. He saw a mysterious shadow, humanoid-shaped, who said:

“You can’t tolerate guilt and shame, can you?”

Triff looked more closely at the figure: A ninja, with a red scarf, a mask covering almost his entire face, and yellow eyes.

“What do you care?” Triff said, still with tears in his eyes.

“Nothing… I just really wanted to know why you would do something like that….” the ninja said in an ironic tone.

“What do you care if I hurt myself?” Triff said.

“Well… there are many things we have to live for, and no matter how big the problem is, there is nothing that can’t be solved,” the ninja said.

“I… abandoned my friends… and let them be captured by pollinator robots… now they’re going to turn into CPUs in a tank… and it’s all because I AM WEAK,” Triff said, ashamed.

“You are not weak… you just haven’t awakened your potential,” the ninja suggested.

“Potential? I don’t have any,” Triff said.

“Of course you do, you just need to train and believe in the power that is inside you… if you want… I can help you unlock that potential and then you can save your friends,” the ninja encouraged.

“No thanks… I will never be able to save them,” Triff said hopelessly.

“As you wish…” the ninja said.

He began walking away and Triff was preparing to shut himself down, until he had flashbacks of his adventures with his friends and that prevented him from doing it.

“Hmph! No! I won’t give up that easily!” Triff said, encouraged.

Triff stood up and went looking for the ninja through the Depths until he came across some pollinator robots. He was thinking about running away… but something inside him said:

  “No… I can do this… I am stronger than I think….”

Then he fought bravely, like never before, and destroyed the pollinator robots.

“I… did it…” Triff said, happy with his victory.

“Very good! See? I told you you could do it!” the ninja said, proud of him.

“NINJA!? I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU EVERYWHERE!” Triff said.

“I know… but I just wanted to test you before training, hahaha…” the ninja said.

  “Training?” Triff asked.

“Yes!… Don’t you want to train with me?… Alright… I’ll let you jump off a building if that’s what you want,” the ninja said.

“NO!!! Wait! I do want to train!” Triff said.

“Very well… then let’s begin!… by the way… my name is Mabriel,” Mabriel said.

“I can’t wait to start training with you, Mabriel!” Triff said, excited.

“Hmph! So be it… but I’m warning you now… I won’t go easy on you,” Mabriel warned.

“That’s exactly what I wanted!” Triff said.

“That’s the spirit! Let’s begin!” Mabriel said, excited.

  Triff thinks:

  “Hot Head… Berto… I will save you. I will get stronger and I will smash Garlon’s face in… I promise you…”

On one of the floors near the top of Rob HQ…

Garlon was watching Robtopia, with a nostalgic look.

  He was reflecting, as usual:

“Hmmm… I still remember… that day… as if it were yesterday… and look where I am now…” he laughs silently with an evil look “he would never be able to achieve what I achieved…”

  “Dramatic pause”

“Master RubRub… are you proud of me…?”
