Prologue: Restraint

  “Time is the jewel of everything,

  The value is defined by how precious it is;

  Overtime, it may lose its grand luster;

  But its significance will remain as it is.”

  I… I don’t know how long I’ve been here. Has it been days, months or even years since this void consumed my thoughts and my own self? I can’t recall anything about how I got in here, but I sure know this is some kind of cell to restrain specifically me.

  “Let me out… Whoever you are, please, I beg…” This was suffocating, it feels as if my breath was being lost every time I spoke.

  “Why must you keep me in here? What did I do?” My cry reached the emptiness of the dark place.

  These chains around my arms pained my wrists from my movements, the shackles on my ankles bruised my skin, and the metal collar choked my throat from speaking too much. This cell, this forsaken nether, it’s a restraint, one even I cannot escape from.

  Why, why, why must I suffer? What have I done to deserve this nightmare? I question to myself who did this, who made me look like a lunatic?
