Chapter 25 — Arrival of something new
London streets, UK.
Tensei wandered through the dim, rain-slicked streets, lost in thought. Four days. Four whole days since he’d seen Hirauka or Sayaka—and his mind kept circling the worst possibilities.
Ahead, a high-school girl walked, absorbed in her phone. Something caught Tensei’s eye:
The ring.
The same patterned raider ring Victor wore.
Tensei stepped forward, eyes sharp.
Tensei: “Hey—you. Yes, you. You’re a raider.”
The girl stopped, startled.
Girl: “How do you know that? Are you one?”
Tensei: “Yeah—but not just any raider. I’m a Raid Conqueror, member of God Flare.”
She smirked knowingly.
Girl: “So that’s why you noticed my ring. Hah. Anyway… see you.”
Tensei: “Wait! I need to ask you something. I know another raider like you, someone in London.”
Her eyes narrowed.
Girl: “Oh… so I’m not the only one? Let me guess… Victor?”
Tensei: “You know him?”
This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
Girl: “High school I study in? He owns it.”
Tensei blinked.
Tensei: “Ohh. And… your name?”
Girl: “Aurora Lane.”
Tensei: “Nice. And your Japanese name?”
She chuckled softly.
Aurora: “Thought you might ask. Amane Hiraki.”
Tensei: “Beautiful name. Want to go get some ice cream?”
Aurora: “Hey, don’t treat me like a kid. I’m turning eighteen.”
Tensei: “Oh—sorry. Then what do you want? Coffee?”
She stared.
Aurora: “Are you serious right now?”
Tensei (grinning): “I’m kidding!”
She sighed, half-amused.
Aurora: “Fine. What do you want to know?”
Tensei: “Where do you usually go? Any hobbies?”
Aurora: “Library. Malls. My cousin’s house. Italian restaurants if it’s food. My grandparents were Italian, my father Italian, my mom British.”
Tensei: “Can you speak Italian?”
Instantly, her accent shifted.
Aurora: “Ciao, mi chiamo Aurora. Piacere di conoscerti.”
Tensei (grinning): “Classificato.”
Her eyes widened.
Aurora: “You speak Italian?”
Tensei: “Powers of the God of Knowledge—remember?”
Aurora: “Nice… what else can you do?”
Tensei: “Well… how about your powers?”
Aurora hesitated, voice quiet.
Aurora: “I possess the powers of the God of Eye.”
Tensei’s breath caught.
Tensei: “God of Eye… that’s insane.”
She smiled faintly.
Aurora: “You’re the first I’ve ever told. Anyway… it was nice meeting you.”
Tensei: “Mi fa piacere.”
Aurora: “Il mio. I have to go. Bye.”
She turned—then paused. Closed her eyes.
Her body vanished instantly.
Tensei (stunned): “W–where did she go…?”

Aurora’s Raid
Aurora appeared inside a demon-infested contained territory.
A massive demon lunged at her—one punch, gone.
A swarm of a hundred demons charged—one second, all defeated.
She advanced deeper until the Territory Admin, a hulking demon with a scythe, attacked.
The scythe swung—she teleported behind him, landing a crushing blow.
He roared and swung again—she dodged effortlessly, countering with a second strike.
The demon collapsed. The territory was cleared.

Back to London
Tensei waited anxiously.
Aurora teleported back beside him.
Tensei: “Oh—you’re back! Where did you go?!”
Aurora: “Planning a raid.”
Tensei: “You fought demons?”
Aurora (smirking): “Too easily.”
Tensei: “What’s your tier level?”
Aurora: “Sixth.”
Tensei froze. Higher than Sayaka… and she’s so young.
Aurora: “I became a raider five months ago.”
Tensei: “Ohhh…”
Aurora: “What’s your tier?”
Tensei: “Third.”
Aurora: “That’s fine. I’ll leave now. We’ll meet again. Bye.”
Tensei: “Bye, Aurora.”

Back in Japan
Hirauka woke on Sayaka’s bed. She was still asleep beside him.
He stood, washed his face, then returned. Gently, he tapped her shoulder.
Hirauka: “Wake up. We have to go to the office.”
Sayaka: “What time is it…?”
She glanced at the clock.
Sayaka (panicking): “OH NO!”
She jumped out and rushed to the bathroom.
Hirauka: “I’m going home to get ready!”
Sayaka (from bathroom): “Okay! See you at the office!”
Hirauka teleported home, showered, ate breakfast, and returned.
They both teleported to the office simultaneously.
Sayaka: “Hi, Hirauka.”
Hirauka: “Get in, boss.”
Sayaka: “Oh—yes, yes.”
Inside, the atmosphere was tense.
Everyone stood silently, eyes filled with worry. Something serious had happened.
