Chapter Eighteen: Between Darkness and Prophecy

  The deeper we went into the cave, I began to notice something strange…

  There was a prophecy carved everywhere, ancient words covering the walls, etched in a mysterious language pulsing with strange energy.

  I paused for a moment, studying the inscriptions carefully, then murmured:

  “Well… I think I’m starting to understand the details of this prophecy. It speaks of a destined one, someone unlike anyone ever known.”

  And even though I had never read anything about this prophecy before, neither in the novel nor in any forums about the story in my previous life…

  I felt an inner certainty that this prophecy spoke of the “Child of Destiny” who would appear in the Golden Age.

  But the strange thing is that this “Child of Destiny” was never mentioned at all in the novel.

  And this alone is enough to make me realize that there are other Children of Destiny who have yet to be revealed.

  I personally know only three of the Children of Destiny.

  But the “Child of Destiny” mentioned here… seems completely different.

  This means that the protagonist referred to by this prophecy has no hope of being an ordinary person.

  And this may mean that he is connected to a system, or that he is a reincarnation from ancient eras and possesses many skills and tricks.

  In short, he is someone destined to control the universe, not just the world.

  ? The Spirit Battle World,

  ? And finally, the world that lies at the edge of the universe.

  The engravings indicate that in ancient times, the Nine Immortal Emperors ruled all the star regions, which are located on the ninth level of existence within the Vast Star Region.

  Above this world are both the Battle World and the Spirit Battle World, which are higher-ranked worlds, believed to be home to incomparable powers.

  As for the final path toward immortality and supremacy, it is for one to reach the world at the edge of the universe.

  There, where the boundaries between matter and void fade, exist thousands of combat races,

  and it is said that every Battle King from those races possesses power capable of destroying worlds.

  In the distant past, all races in the Battle World were under the command of a True Ancestor, and under his authority stood the Battle Emperor, who was considered the war arm of the Ancestor.

  The Ancestors of the three supreme races stood on three great pillars, through which they ruled the Battle World and the Vast Star Region, representing the pinnacle of power and authority in those ancient times.

  As for the Lord of the Battle World, he held the highest noble title and commanded under his banner countless subordinates — the elite fighters, the strongest in the Battle World, mastering all the martial arts that existed in the universe.

  As for me, I belong to the “Red Dragon Clan,” which is located within the Vast Star Region, specifically on the Continent of Heavenly Retribution.

  This continent encompasses several important regions, such as:

  ? The Dragon Domain,

  ? The Ice Domain,

  ? The Fire Domain,

  ? And the Sky Domain, also known as the Phoenix Domain.

  The Winter Scorpion Clan rules the Ice Domain,while the Volcanic Lion Clan controls the Fire Domain.

  Anyway, the Mortal World is the place where “William” came from.

  Thus, these are the worlds that were mentioned in the story.

  Based on my knowledge of the details of the story,

  I can say that there is a clear connection between the Continent of Heavenly Retribution and the Human World —

  both share a similar level of existence and overlap in events.

  As for the other worlds, such as:

  ? The Battle World,

  ? The Spirit Battle World,

  ? And the World at the Edge of the Universe,

  they lie in adjacent regions, forming a separate domain.

  In fact, both the Battle King World and the World at the Edge of the Universe

  are located at the farthest point in this universe, right next to the Edge of the Universe, far from the Continent of Heavenly Retribution and the Human World.

  As for the Spirit Battle World, it is situated in the dividing center, acting as the natural barrier that separates the World at the Edge of the Universe and the Battle King World on one side, and the Human World and the Vast Star Region on the other side.

  In short, it is impossible to ascend to the Battle King World without first passing through the Spirit Battle World.

  It serves as the dividing link and the mandatory gateway that separates the higher worlds from the lower worlds in this universe.
