Monthly briefing today. Dr. Chen and Sergeant Major Stratoskha leading. Conference Room B, 1400 hours. Full staff attendance mandatory.
Meeting Roadmap - April 2132:
Storage Unit Status:
- Construction delayed. Completion now projected for April 10th, approximately one week past original deadline. Final welding and pressure seals still in progress. Dr. Chen was visibly frustrated but didn't elaborate on cause of delay.
Volatus 1 - Ongoing Partnership:
- Unit Volatus 1 has established temporary operational relationship with Gasing 03. Lieutenant Voss and team will remain on standby coordination for duration of cargo handling phase. Unclear what "standby coordination" entails or how long they'll maintain contact.
Cargo Freighter Mission - Personnel Assignment:
- Four-person crew selected for cargo transport operation. Manifest includes:
- Pilot GP-0071 (flight operations)
- Harshi Patel (maintenance/mechanical systems)

Patel's inclusion makes sense. He's the most competent plane mechanic on station. Still, didn't expect to see his name on the roster.

- Handling classified as Level 3 Restricted Access. Transfer from delivery container to completed storage unit will be conducted by designated logistics personnel only. Specific staff assignments to be announced. Dr. Chen emphasized "meticulous handling procedures" three times during this section.
I stopped taking notes halfway through.
Found myself staring at the ceiling tiles. White panels. Rectangular. Evenly spaced. 47 tiles across the length of Conference Room B. I was spinning my pen between my fingers and counting ceiling tiles while Dr. Chen was still talking.
Someone asked a question. I don't remember what. I don't remember the answer.
When did I start dissociating during meetings?
Poor Patel. Four-person crew on a cargo freighter heading... somewhere. They didn't specify destination in the briefing. Or maybe they did and I wasn't paying attention.
He's going to ask me about us before he leaves. I know he is.
