Judgement flames, the fire-like object that people once considered to be from the deepest pit of hell—the amount of ancient records that tried to explain such a thing was above the triple digit, and they were still finding new records every year.
As much as the ancient people thought it was from hell itself, the flame was simply an illusion.
With every other deity-related object, every effect we could observe was not the cause but rather a side effect. And inside these judgement flames carried a special type of Versile that latched onto the surrounding Versile before breaking it apart, with the flame effect being a byproduct of the consuming process.
The process will repeat for an indefinite amount of time until the amount of Versile becomes none or when the consumed Versile becomes powerful enough to resist the breaking phase.
However, a new way has been discovered in recent years. Throughout the testing of divine artifact, it was found that this special type of Versile, called Divine auras, attracts other Divine auras.
Meaning, if a divine artifact were to be used beside a judgement flame…

‘It’ll latch onto them with full effect.’
“AGHHHHH HHAHGHHHHHH AHHGHGHGHHHHH.” Before they even had time to process anything, the flame lunged towards them, entering every opening their body had before diving straight into their insides.
A terrifying shriek only lasted for a few seconds before their lungs completely turned into ashes.
His body remained motionless as smoke exited from all openings, reminding Erdanius of the terrifying objects that were divine auras. And he didn’t plan on watching their corpse burn.
Darting towards the previously burning man, he pressed him against the dusty floor. Being careful not to heavily injure him due to the burns all over his body, he extended his hands towards his pocket before injecting a fluid into the man’s body as they struggled to break free from the grip.
Before long, he slowly closed his eyes before passing out on the floor.
Looking at the hole in the burnt ceiling, he turned back to the girl that had fallen down alongside the man, his eyes filled to the brim with caution as he stared at the bloody mess.
And without wasting any more time, he asked.
“Who are you?”
She stared at him before replying.
“That is unnecessary.”
Eridanus’s eyes fixated onto hers, carefully examining each movement as the air began to thicken with tension, and at last she stood up before slowly making her way towards the burnt corpse.
Touching the scattered ashes, she stared at the powders in her hands as she turned back to all of them.
Her eyes, unwavering even with all of the injuries throughout her body, and her arms appearing to almost be dislocated and with thin lines of red all over her body, it didn’t seem long until she fainted.

Despite this, she still managed not to.
“What are you doing here?” A laid-back voice broke the silence. Jayden pressed her back against the wall as she unwrapped a lollipop into her mouth.
“Wish I knew.” They stared through the window before replying.
"Well," Jayden paused for a brief moment.
“We should get out of here.” She followed up.
With her words echoing throughout the room, they stood in silence before Eridanus finally made his way towards the exit. One by one, they left the room until there was only one person in the room.

Still staring through the window, I started to wonder how I got in here in the first place. There weren’t many memories to recall from; every piece of memory from this week was a blur, and I doubted that it was simply due to me forgetting.
My mind reached into the deepest part of the brain, searching each and every inch for any clues and information. I started recalling the memories after the incident before slowly making my way towards the present.
Sleeping in my bed, waking up…
Memories burst like fireworks in my head. Waking up, wondering what I will do today before finally going to the auction room. I could remember talking to someone, I could remember getting a strange feeling from said person, and…
My heart raced as I desperately raced my mind.
I couldn’t go with them; the identification process they might do would certainly expose my identity. While I wasn’t sure if they were hostile, I was still certain that other people would hunt for me in a freezy. Even if I were strong enough, I doubted I could last a marathon of fights.
In the midst of my thoughts, a flash of light shone brightly in the corner of my eyes. Briefly taking a break, I focused onto the ground before looking past the army of bodyguards to the flash.
Gunshots filled the area as multiple flashes of lights flooded my view. Below in the chaos, a silhouette rapidly shifted their location as the guard’s attempt to neutralize them was quickly met with a knockout.
Repositioning after repositioning, they darted through the place as guards kissed the ground in their trail.
The silhouette was engulfed in the darkness of the full moon; it was difficult for me to even see the faint outline of their rapid movement.
Even with the flashes of light, the blurry aftermath was only visible to me.
‘They seem to be taking care of them.’ I thought as I watched them fall one by one.
Distracted, a familiar coldness of Versile gusted by, jolting me awake as I sighed a breath of relief.
‘She’s here.’ All the burden in my chest suddenly dropped, easing my mind of the uncertainty.
The wind slowly became bone-chilling, the full moon shattered its ray across the entire district as I slowly waited for the familiar Versile, bolting rapidly in my direction.
…
‘?!’
Realization shot through my bones, every inch of my body flooded with fear as my leg rose up.
In a swift blow, it shattered through the window as pieces flew into my body, and yet I paid no attention to them.
My hands gripped against the shattered border of the window as shards pierced into my skin; multiple thin red lines crawled towards the ground.
Lunging myself through the window, I fell straight to the ground. Numerous guards pointed their rifles upon seeing a person fall down, yet I kept on running.
They didn't exist; nothing existed; every danger that stood in my path didn't exist.
It became clear to me; the previous gust of familiar coldness was from the lady. In reality, I could not be farther from the truth.
Making my way over the fence, the gunshots behind my back stopped, the sound of multiple objects hitting the ground before quick rustling completely overwhelmed the gunshots.
I bolted through the street, looking in all directions in an attempt to find my way back as my heart raced.
“Ugh!” A force broke my spine, propelling the entire body forward as my mouth ate the ground.
I pressed against the ground and looked back.
A sudden rush of coldness engulfed all the souls in the surrounding area, my eyelids freezing as I struggled with sprinting.
“Where do you think you're going?” A male voice rang out behind my back, familiar, yet my body flinched at the voice.
“You know you won't get away.”
Their eyes filled with the embodiment of despair, spiraling into nothing as they stared into my soul.
“I'll make sure you suffer for eternal damnation.”
