People have really got to stop saying stuff like that to me…After a hearty breakfast of ft-cakes, rasher, and keffe Peter felt almost normal and brought Ennalyssa to the practice yard. She had separated and gone off to spar and practice with Broseff while he looked around, waiting for someoo approach him — as that had beeandard operating procedure this week, so far anyway. He was surprised by the gres and stares he had gotten as he looked around. Alright…What was said about me this time…The thought barely had time to flit into his mind before he ut on edge by someone rushing up to him; Not running, thankfully, but rushing, and pushing at his chest hard. “Hey!” Peter called out as he was shoved, arms out to bance himself. “You really fucked up this time.” The guard muttered with an angered growl, not even waiting and taking a swing at Peter.Bag away to dodge Peter held up his hands, “You maybe in things before you pummel me?!” “I’m sick of hearing that from you!” “I’m sick of saying it!” Peter dodged another punch, “But you assholes just assault me when I’ve barely just woken up!” “Stop pying games!”

This time he shed out with a magical attack; a bolt of fme swirled ience before ung itself at him like a very tieor from the dark abyss.Without time to thier brought up his hand, mind and body already ag and fog his own magical reserves to summon forth his energy bde with that gaining-familiarity klk~~vvhhrrrhhmmm.

  ~KZHRK~

The fiery orb of the ‘et’ and the densed, trated energy of the ‘bde’ ected, sizzling and fizzling as Peter split it in two, causing it to explode almost in his face that sent him staggering back.He was caught, though, by two people, ing their arms around his and… holding him in pbsp; Oh. Great.Peter struggled against their grip — sure, he had snapped a pole-arm haft in his irritation — but that was an inanimate object; breaking people was airely different matter.

“You’re finally about to get what you deserve, otherworlder.” One of the two who had caught him from behind hissed in his ear. He holy was unsure if they were mase or feminine by the harsh tone in their voice, “Your stant disrespect of Ser Havengard and Shepherd d’Zaier has been uable. Yoing to learn your pce, and the cost of ag out.”

That… that sounds different from the others. He may not be throwing the punches—Peter’s thoughts were interrupted by the guard who had thrown the small ‘et’ at him e rushing at him. To keep him at bay Peter did the only thing he could do and kick out with a foot, nding a blow to his stomad making it stagger babsp; —But it certainly sounds like he’s here for more than what the others are being told about me— “If you think I’m gonna stand here and just get beat up because of someone’s ego…” Peter hissed as he strained, pnting his feet and lurg one arm forward. There.He felt it. The Church guard holding that arm had shifted, losing their footing. He had the strength — he knew he did, but was, holy, afraid to use it lest he hurt someone actally… or worse… on purpose in his anger. “Ego?” She other Church guard, the one who had lost their footing, “It’s about respeg your superiors!” “I’m not with the Church. Shepherd d’Zaier pulled me into this world with that portal of his.” Peter lurched himself again, harder, feeling the guard lose his footing again, “Think about it!” There ause. “Don’t listen to him!” cried the guard who had hissed in his ear, “He’s just trying to fuse us with lies!” “You think someone summoned with that portal spell he used was asked if they wao leave their world?” Peter’s words spilled out, heedless of the Church guard’s elbow in his ribs beyond the gasping cough it made him bust out. “What are you saying…” The one he had kicked to keep him back, rubbing his belly, grunted. “I’m saying that people brought to Aetyros that way are kidnapped.” Peter snarled softly. “The Goddess…” the soldier on his other side started, “She’d never kidnap…” “I’m not talking about yoddess.” Peter snapped, “I’m speaking about just Shepherd d’Za—” His side exploded in pain as the Church guard who had whispered in his ear punched him iomabsp; “How dare you speak ill of the Shepherd.” He growled.

“Right.” Peter hissed, “I’ve had just about enough of you.”His eyes seemed to glint with an inner light, purple and gold refleg in the sun as he twisted his body and heaving the soldiers trying to restrain his arms off their feet and into the third, sending all three onto their rears. “I am tired of being assaulted by guards who accuse me of things I have not said or done like I attacked them personally. I am tired of being told I am lying when I try to defend myself.” Peter, fists at his side, growled, eyes glinting in the sunlight again.

“So what are you gonna do about it?” The one guard, lips curling into a knowing grin, “Gon up on us like you think we’ve beeing on you?” “No.” Peter smirked back as he met the guard’s eyes, “I am gonna do something even more stupid…”

?Peter? Hun?? Na’at’s whisper curled into his mental ‘ear’ with a tone of , ?Just… what are you pnning?? CHAOS~

He strode away from the trio, pushing energy into his steps, towards a slightly more open area before he faced the bulk of the training forces who had, as he suspected, stopped arying to peek at what was going on.Some looked away when they fouer looking in their dire. “Oh, no, don’t look away now!” Peter called out to everyone, his tone exasperated and sarcasti equal parts as he called them out on their ‘voyeurism’, “I need All of you as witnesses for what’s going to happe.” ?Peter…? Na’at’s ed tone raised up; she was all for chaos but she did not want her son to get hurt — and as that thought slipped through her mind, she had to pause and realize that while he had sort of teased him about it she did, in fact, have feelings for him.

One of the watg guard spoke up, not one of the trio, but someone from a ways off with the bulk of the others training, “What ya mean witnesses?” “Well. A trial needs witnesses doesn’t it?” ?Trial?!?Peter did his best to send a wave of reassurao his mother as he spoke, seeing those before him stiffen in surprise and shift uneasily and look around, “I don’t know many of you. Any of you, really.” He yelled out, “Yet you all know me… or so you think!” He spread his arms, “You have heard, or been told, I have done and said things. Those of you who fronted me with those accusations have gotten fusion from me. Because I holy had no idea what you were talking about!” He said, “I have no idea if any of you believe my words or not… but I have just been accosted again by three of your number!” At this he poio the three who had, in fact, just tried to trounce him. “I am sick of it.” Peter yelled and, he was not totally sure, but he swore he felt a sort of pulse flow out of him with those words, like a wave of power, “So. I want to end this here and now.”

“H-How.” A guard asked, it was the one he had kicked iomach. His eyes looked wide and got wider as Peter snapped his gaze to meet the other person’s. “I am sd you asked.” Peter said, pointing to the sky, “I, Peter Karl, hear-by beseech the dek gods and goddess of the pantheon known as The Family to judge my as and words!” He leveled his finger and made a very wide, sweepiure — from one end of the practice field to the other, “And you all are my witnesses.”

  ?… … …? |… … …| (… … …) {… … …} [… … …] <… … …> ?… … …? ?… … …? 「… … …」 … … …

There was silence. You could hear a pin drop, even on the soft grassy soil. No one dared speak.Peter let that sile, growing, until it was just unfortable enough. “I stand accused of a and word unbeing, while standing on holy ground no less!” Peter called out dramatically, making a point to gesture back to the temple of the Goddess of Light herself, “Let Her, and her siblings, look into my soul, weigh my words and judge me where I stand!” ?Peter, you absolute gremlin!!? Na’at cackled in his ‘ear’.Peter tinued with abandon, “Let the Goddess of Truth hear my testimony and if she finds it false, may I be struck down and fall into Xtha’s embray just reward!” |I see why Na’at chose you~| Di’si’thy stuttered, very obviously trying not to ugh, |Now, call upon “Bel’i’nce”, He is the God of Bance, or Order, and Justice.|

The grin that curled Peter’s lips from ear to ear as he licked his lips, “Let, Bel’i’he God of Band Order see that this proceeds calmly and, well, orderly. A his influence as God of Justice let that cept reign this day!”It was when everyone in the field stiffehat Peter felt it — there was this thick sort of energy around everyone, a weight of expebsp; He realized that this was the power, the presence, of The God of Order, and of Justice.====================
