Suki Jumped up on the couch next to Seulgi. Suki declined to touch or be touched by the still filthy Seulgi. Rather than continuing to offend her cat, Seulgi got herself up and started stripping off her stinky and sweaty clothes. Leaving the clothes where they dropped, while heading to the shower. She knew she would be annoyed with herself ter, but right now, she didn’t care about the trail of filthy clothes behind her.
She got to the bathroom, turned on the shower, and waited for it to warm up. While waiting, she washed her hands and then got some clean clothes to change into to once she had dried off. She knew that she would not be motivated to do anything complex after the shower worked its magical warmth into her sore muscles.
Suki jumped up onto the sink to watch her humans’ antics. She took great offense when her human pyfully flicked a bit of water her way. She was even more annoyed with her human when she burst out in gales of ughter when the look on her face showed how shocked and annoyed that she was.
Checking the water’s temperature every few moments with finicky precision, she finally reached the optimum heat. It was not quite scalding, but not too far off, either. Seulgi hissed as she got into the water.
The hissing annoyed the furry menace even more because hissing was her job. Besides, just like when her human meowed at her, she could understand what was being said, but the accent was terrible. It was cute when she tried, but still exasperating. Sometimes she just had to walk away.
Frequently their conversation would go: Mew, mew, mew, mewmew, mew…HEY! Get back here!
Suki had loads of patience for her human, but there were things that even she was not willing to put up with. She could put up with that hateful speech only for so long. Though, on her better days, she had to admit that it was cute how her human tried.
Her human willfully and willingly immersed herself in water. This was one thing that she could never wrap her fuzzy little head around. But, she did recognize that humans were strange creatures and they tended to smell better once dry. Granted, they will occasionally miss a spot so it’s her duty (and secret pleasure, though she will never admit it to anyone else, including herself) to clean these spots for her human. Her humans hands could never be clean enough to come in contact with her fur!
She watches her human dry herself, brush her hair, and dress herself in very comfortable pajamas. There was a ritualistic aspect to the actions that were both methodical and efficient. The brush strokes to her hair were long, strong, and straight, yet still soft. She braided her hair up and then knotted it into a rge, loose ball at the base of her neck. It would take longer to dry this way, but it would stay out of the way while she finished a few things before bed.
Suki slow blinked at her human. She was silly, prone to being clumsy, and a bit forgetful, but this human was hers. She minced after her human into the living room, tail fgging her progress.
Seulgi stretched out on the couch with a book, mistakenly believing that she had successfully avoided her impending scolding. She had inelegantly sprawled with a book in hand when she learned her mistake.
Suki jumped up on the couch as well. Seulgi looked over the top of her book at the determined cat walking towards her. Blinking, the cat walked up to the inside of her thigh and got up onto the top of her leg. She reached up to the top of the book and pulled it down with a single paw. Seulgi was too surprised by this action to resist. Suki then proceeded up her stomach, across her ribs, and over her breast. Being a good-sized cat, she put both of her pawns on either side of Seulgi’s shoulders.
She finally stopped when she was quite literally nose-to-nose with her human. They were looking at each other eye to eye as well as bumping noses. Seulgi’s eyes: were surprised and Suki’s eyes: were determined.
Using her voice, eyes, tail, ears, and body nguage, she let her human know, in no uncertain terms, what she was thinking. She listed all of her recent failures, where she had not given her a thorough enough brushing, all of the times her bowl was not full but her litter box was, when her water was low, and the general state of cleanliness in the apartment. She know that her human was a delicate sort, so she tried to give her enough affection to not break her spirit as well. It’s hard to train a human, so she cannot break this one too badly.
Seulgi, on the other hand, watched her cat walk up to her, bump noses in affection, then was telling her about her day. So, she started stroking her long and silky spine and tail.
This told Suki that she had failed to give a proper admonishment. Her human was just too stupid to understand that she was being chastised. She wanted to be frustrated but actually was unsurprised. She was used to all of her instructions being misinterpreted as begging for attention. This part was annoying as she would never beg for anything. She would demand things. One of the most infuriating things was that here she was, one of Nature’s most perfect killing machines and humans would baby-talk her while kissing her head or fluffing her belly fur.
Only her human could fluff her belly fur. Anyone else would pull back a bloody stub. At least in her mind. In reality, they might pull back a hand with some good bites and some long bunny kicked scratches. These powerful strokes may be lethal to something her size or smaller, but to a human ten to twelve times her size, they stung and drew beads of blood. Painful, but hardly fatal.
The lecture continued, despite her understanding that it was ultimately futile. She still had to try and teach her human some manners and accountability. She ultimately gave up with a sign of frustration. So, she curled up into a ball and kept talking to her human about proper decorum, how the state of the apartment should be kept, and other things. Her human just smiled, nodded, made random cooing noises, and started stroking her spine again.
The cat had, after some time, talked herself out. The petting had done much to calm the situation and earned her forgiveness and she eventually fell asleep still pillowed on her human’s breast and her chin on the human’s colrbone. She purred to herself that she did her best to teach her human properly. It wasn’t her fault her human was an idiot. Granted, a loveable idiot. Still, an idiot. But her idiot, so she would keep her and try to keep teaching her.
Eventually, her purring worked its magic and they both fell asleep.
