The various races inhabiting the World have evolved from modern day humans after the discovery and use of a new source of radiant energy called Anima, stemming from the psyche. Under its influence, races with traits of previously fantastical creatures have emerged, who still resemble the humanity which gave them birth. The only exception being the large, mythological Dragons, which have appeared after the excessive usage of Anima.
