John looked shocked, then angry, then confused before asking. “Now answer my question, how are you alive.”
“By becoming a conquer, obviously,” Onex suddenly thought of something, “Wait! How did you know it’s me when I’m wearing this mask!”
“Because there’s just this…vibe about you, and it’s hard not to notice.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
After a bit, Onex walked off. Now he had enough people to support the King of Flying in his battle against the King of Sailing.
All of this was very tiring. So, he went back to the big house he left the box in and jumped into bed. Quickly drifting into a deep sleep.
…
“Find the Book…please.” An eerie voice echoed in Onex’s ears as he jolted awake.
He had a dream, but he couldn’t recall it. The dream felt important, yet it was forgotten, but his mind was on something else. The voice he just heard, it sounded like the voice he hears usually, but… more alive and pleading.
Onex got out of bed and went searching for Anna, she was the only former-conquer that he truly trusted. Once he found her, they greeted each other, spoke a for a bit, then Onex asked what he really needed to know.
“Have you ever heard a voice…a pleading voice telling you to find something?”
Anna looked confused, “No, I’ve only heard a voice telling me if anything big happened nearby, and if I got any rewards.”
Onex let out a sigh and scratched his head, “I see. Thanks anyway.”
He then began walking off. Thinking to himself, when he suddenly heard a noise coming from the place he’s been staying.
Could it be from the King of Flying?
Onex thought as he ran towards the building. He skidded into the room with the box and saw a piece of paper sticking out from the box. Onex quickly grabbed it and read through it.
To the King of X,
I have found the King of Sailing’s kingdom and will be heading there shortly. I hope you can come and have enough forces to fight in this battle.
Sincerely, King of Flying.
Onex carefully read through it. And at the bottom was a compass and a note saying that he should head straight North. So, he quickly found north and started to move his island in that direction.
After that he sat down and began to think. He didn’t know how long this would take, so he had to think of something that could help him and his nation in this next help. But that’s when someone came in saying that they were getting closer to a bright light.
Onex was confused, and quickly went outside to see what the person was talking about. And indeed, in the distance was a bright, small object.
Not only did the object glow, but it also gave a calming feeling.
The closer Onex’s island got closer to it. The calmer and more relaxed he felt. It was odd, Onex has never felt this way before.

Before long, the object was in view. It was a small piece of white metal attached to a chain. Onex grabbed the item, a pendulum!
It felt odd in his hands. It was cold yet warm, it felt like a solid, yet it felt like energy. It put Onex into a deep trance of awe. That’s when he suddenly heard the voice.
You have obtained a Generation 0 Item.
You are the first of the Second Generation to get a Generation 0 Item.
The Generation 0 Item is currently inactive.
This snapped Onex out of thoughts and put him in confusion. There was no menu explaining this item, nor any clues to activated it. Only that it was a generation 0 item.
“Well…That sucks,” Onex mumbled, with a sigh he put the pendulum in his pocket.
Then he started to walk back to the building he was thinking in. With a feeling of disappointment.
…
After an hour or two, the King of Flying’s island came into view. It was quite bigger than before, and next to that island was an island of a similar size. Once Onex got close enough, the King of Flying became visible and yelled over to Onex.
“Hello there! We were just getting ready to attack the King of Sailing. His land is much bigger than ours, so we must be careful! You will go to the Southwest side of his island. Since it’s the least guarded, then my other ally here will attack from the Northeast side, to help thin out the forces across the island.
“In that time, I should be able to get my voidcrafts ready to attack the King of sailing. Once all of this is done, I will give you and my ally a small portion of the King of Sailing’s land, that is if we win of course.”
Voidcraft? What is that?
Onex sighed in confusion at the term and slowly nodded his head. After he did so, The King of Flying told the direction Onex would take to reach the Southwest of the Land of Sailing.
This didn’t take very long. And before long, Onex was right at the footstep of the enemy. It had many buildings, and the island was the size of his two allies combined, but he did not let himself be feel threatened. He took a deep breath, looked at his people, and told them to get ready for battle.
Once they were in boarding distance, Onex raised his sword and told his people to charge onto the island and cause as much chaos as possible.
In seconds, this side of the island was full of dust, smoke, and fire. Guards started to roll in to fight against Onex’s solders, and Onex joined in to help.
Onex swung his sword down, again and again. Helping his people to the best of his capabilities. From his time in the void, he has rapidly grown his skills with the sword, but he still needed to get stronger.
Bodies from Onex and the king of sailing’s side grew and grew. Onex started to get tired from all this fighting, his movements started to slow and grew sluggish.
As this happened more enemy reinforcements arrived. Onex was already getting tired, now his body was getting sore and cuts became more frequent.
Suddenly, Onex’s stitches opened during a swing. Causing him to fall to his knees and hold his injury. But the man who he was attacking did not stop, instead the man swung down his sword.
One of the people of Onex’s nation saved him just in time.
Everything was blurry. Everything seemed to start merging, Onex felt his body temperature rising as the pain overwhelmed his senses. He felt himself losing consciousness.
But right before that, he saw an odd object flying in the sky. Then another, and another, until the entire dark void sky was full of these brown flying objects.
Right when Onex moved to get a bandage to stop the bleeding. He lost consciousness and dropped to the floor.
…
Onex slowly opened his eyes. His body felt stiff, his vision still blurred and he heard the same voice pleading voice again, “Please get the book.” It echoed in his ears once more before fading.
Once he got a hold of his senses. He noticed that he was on a bed, his wound restitched, an abdominal binder over his stomach and pillows all at his sides. Anna just walked in and once she saw him awake, she ran to him and checked on his condition before sighing.
“Try to move as little as possible. And stay in bed for 6 weeks so you can fully recover, no more going out to conquer new land in that time.” She said, checking Onex’s condition again.
“6 weeks?”
“Don’t act so surprised, you shouldn’t have fought so hard out there knowing you already had an injury. You're lucky you aren’t dead.”
“I guess, I’ll try to be more careful next time.”
Anna let out a sigh before heading to the exit, “You better,” she suddenly stopped, “Because of your condition you won’t be able to do any of your king duties. You need a co-conquer.”
“Co-Conquer?”
“Yes, co-conquers are those who help do a rulers job when the ruler isn’t able to do those tasks at the moment.”
“I see. I guess, you’ll be my co-conquer.”
Anna seemed taken aback by this, “Huh? Me?”
“Well yeah, you seem to be the most trustworthy. And you have experience in being ruler.”
Anna smiled and thanked Onex before leaving. The voice now telling Onex that he has selected Anna as his co-conquer.
He then looked up at the ceiling. Unable to do anything in his state, he closed his eyes and tried to drift to sleep.
