Chapter 28

  Chapter 28

It takes roughly three days for an Asgard vessel to travel between Milky Way and Pegasus. With a ZPM boosting her engines, the Skidbladnir did it in a little over one. Reva and Amos were in the recreational area of the Skidbladnir, skinny dipping in the pool they had installed. Reva’s head was submerged between Amos’s legs while his arms were wrapped around the pool’s smooth edges. “Wow, she can breathe underwater too,” Amos said as he chuckled.

“We are now entering the Milky Way Galaxy,” reported Freyr on the ship’s intercom. Reva’s soaked body emerged from between Amos’s legs as she quickly got out of the pool and grabbed her towel. The two got dressed and headed down the small corridors of Freyr’s vessel, passing the mess hall and the armory, until they arrived at the bridge.

“Are we in Goa’uld territory?” asked Amos, his voice filled with a serious tone.

“No, however, I recommend we go into cloak because the Goa’uld could still have scouts in this area.” The Skidbladnir cloaked as it perused this mysterious area of space.

Freyr, moved by what Amos had said in the meeting of the Commonwealth members, asked Amos if the words that he had said were true: That he intends on rebuilding Lantean civilization.

“Is it true… Amos Fyree?” Freyr asked cautiously, as if he were poking a sleeping bear.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

“Is what true, Freyr?” Amos responded, confused.

“Can you revive the Ancient’s civilization?” Freyr responded.

Amos nodded his head finally realizing what Freyr was asking; he had made a bold claim in the meeting of the Commonwealth, using Lantean technology was one thing, bringing them back as a thriving Civilization is another. Still, Amos was resolute in his words. “Yes, Freyr, I believe that after all we’ve accomplished already, resurrecting the Ancients is in the realm of the possible.” said Amos confidently.

Reva, who was sipping on a cup of Chai latte, while listening to Amos and Freyr’s conversation, placed her cup down on the desk in front of her and said, “The Aurora, don’t you remember the Aurora?”

Freyr had almost forgotten about the Aurora. Before Taranis, Reva suggested that the three of them go visit the Aurora to revive the Ancients onboard, however, their horrid state prevented the trio from making contact.

“I remember you mentioning the Aurora,” Freyr said, “However, I also remember Amos saying that we did not have the capabilities of reviving them since they were near death.”

Amos leaned forward in the Captain’s chair pondering Reva and Freyr’s words. Yes, he had been the one that prevented the revival of the Aurora sooner, spending thousands of years in a badly damaged Lantean Warship had left their bodies in a horrible state. Most of the crew onboard were dead or were about to be dead due to old age. Without magically obtaining powerful medical technology that could reverse aging and resurrect the dead resuscitating them would be foolish. Then, out of nowhere, an idea formed inside of Amos’s mind like lightning forms in the evening sky.

“Reva, check the SGC mission reports for the Goa’uld System Lord’s Yu’s homeworld. When you have the location, set a course,” said Amos fervently.

Freyr turned to look at Amos, “For what reason do you want to go to Yu’s planet, Amos Fyree?

Amos sat back in the captain's chair looked at Freyr and responded, “Yu might have everything we need to rebuild Ancient Civilization,”.
