Chapter 10: Sliver Chest 2

“We don't have any problem with it.” Zav and Anya both didn't hesitate and immediately answered.

After all, Kenji was responsible for attracting Boars, while Julius and Marcus hunted them. They didn't even lift a finger; how could they be in any position to argue?

Knowing that he was going to get a share of the spoils, Kenji didn't have any complaints; in fact, he felt delighted. After all, a single Boar can go for anywhere between 2–3 silver coins, and they had already hunted three of them.

After hiding the carcasses of the three Boars in a safe place, Kenji and the team headed deeper into Boars' territory.

  KRANG! KRANG! KRANG!

After walking around 1 kilometer deeper into Boars' territory, they heard some sharp metallic sounds. But looking around, they saw no one.

Approaching the source of the metallic sound, they saw a tiny boar constantly headbutting something stuck in the ground.

Upon taking a closer look, everyone was thunderstruck. Not because the baby boar looked a little unusual with red fur and a strange mark on its forehead.

But the thing the baby boar was hitting turned out to be a treasure chest, and not just any treasure chest, but a Silver one.

“This… we are rich, we are rich!” Seeing the Silver-rank treasure chest, Marcus couldn't contain his excitement.

The moment the baby Boar heard Marcus' voice, it immediately ran away without looking back.

“Should I?” Looking at the small Boar running through the tall grass, Julius thought to himself about whether to kill it or not.

But knowing that the Silver-rank Treasure chest was the biggest priority, he didn't pull an arrow from the quiver.

“Let's dig it out.” Marcus excitedly put down his bow and started digging the soil around the Treasure chest.

Unauthorized duplication: this narrative has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

They were extremely lucky. Both Julius and Marcus had passed by this place many times but hadn't noticed it once. Today, if it wasn't for the red-furred Boar, they wouldn't have found this chest.

“It's a smaller one. What do you think is in there? Pill, potion, or maybe a skill book?” After digging out the chest, Marcus felt a little disappointed that it was small; he was hoping for a big one containing some powerful weapon.

But that disappointment only lasted a few seconds, as even a small Silver-rank Treasure chest is still a Silver-rank Treasure chest.

“Should we open it?” Looking at the chest, Marcus turned to Julius and asked.

At the same time, both Zav and Anya also turned to Julius, as they had never experienced opening treasure chests before; not even Bronze-rank ones.

Although everyone was happy at finding a treasure chest, Kenji was the happiest.

Because if they sold the treasure chest to Fairies, it would easily fetch 100 gold coins. Even without selling it, just the empty chest should be worth at least 10 gold coins.

Even if Julius and the others don't keep their promise of an equal share, the money they give shouldn’t be lower than a gold coin.

After all, if word spread about how they treated him, they wouldn’t be able to recruit members for their party. Even joining other parties would have some complications.

“This… let's open it.” Seeing everyone looking at him, Julius fell into a dilemma. Should they open it or sell it? But after running a few scenarios through his mind, he ultimately decided to open the chest.

Deep down, Julius was more inclined toward selling it. After all, with that much money, both he and Marcus would be one step closer to undergoing their third heavenly trial.

But Zav, Anya, and Kenji couldn’t be trusted. What if they passed the news to someone and got robbed halfway through the city? Julius wasn’t willing to take that risk.

“Really!! Great.” Seeing that they were going to open the chest, Marcus was extremely excited, as this was his first time opening a Treasure chest.

With a pounding heart, Marcus slowly opened the chest. However, unlike what he had imagined, there was no light or special effect; the chest naturally opened, and the item inside appeared before everyone’s eyes.

“A skill book? I wonder which skill it is.” As Marcus reached out to grab the skill book, Julius acted first.

He grabbed the [Skill Book] and immediately tore it in half.

The moment the skill book was torn, a small ball of light appeared and entered Julius’ body.

“Hahaha!” Feeling the changes coursing through him, Julius couldn’t contain his excitement and laughed aloud.

“This… Julius, we didn’t even get to take a good look at it!” Seeing the skill book vanish before he could even see what kind of skill it was, Marcus was clearly displeased.

“Don't worry, it will tell you about it later… I think that's enough for today. Let's head back.” Julius acted mysteriously and then ordered everyone to return.

On the way back, Kenji carried one Boar, while Zav and Anya were responsible for the other two.

Returning to the city, Julius sold the empty Silver chest for 5 gold coins and the Boars for 7 Silver coins.

“Here, I think this should be enough for your share.” Julius handed 2 whole gold coins to Kenji.

Looking at the coins, Kenji was so surprised that he forgot to speak. By the time he came back to his senses, Julius had already gone.

Although 2 gold coins weren’t the full equal share that Marcus had promised, for Kenji, it was still a fortune.

With the coins in hand, Kenji excitedly headed toward the Fairy Market to purchase Ironwood seeds.

As he entered the Sky Treasure House, the guiding ball of light appeared. After stating that he wanted to buy 10 Ironwood seeds, the ball of light disappeared, and Kenji found himself in the lobby of the Treasure House.

“That will be 10 Silver coins.” After paying, Kenji immediately left the Sky Treasure House and headed back to the housing complex.

After placing 50 copper coins on the table, Kenji returned to his room, took out the hidden Blood Essence, and began the process of his Heavenly Trial.
