“Kenji, we still have to carry them back.” Finally catching his breath, Muhammed said, reminding Kenji that they still had to carry Kobold carcasses back to the city.

  Seeing that both Muhammed and Duy were in bad condition, Kenji agreed.

  Thus, they gathered all the Kobold corpses they had killed, picked up whatever weight they were comfortable with, and started heading back to the city.

  After receiving 1.6 Silver coins, his share of the spoils, Kenji was about to leave when Duy stopped him.

  “Aren't we going back for those bodies?”

  “No, too much…work.” Kenji would rather wait for Mary outside the Library and then go back to the Kobold cave to carry more carcasses.

  “Kenji, wanna team up again tomorrow?” Muhammed asked, as he had learned a lot today by following Kenji.

  “Sure…” Kenji had no complaints about teaming up with others. Instead, he felt that with good teamwork, they could earn a lot more money.

  “Great. How about we meet at the city gate tomorrow around 8:00 a.m.?” Muhammed said happily after Kenji agreed.

  “Okay.” After leaving the city gate, Kenji headed straight toward the Fairy Market.

  Arriving in front of the Library, Kenji didn’t go inside. He had gotten lost there before, so he waited outside for Mary.

  Around an hour and a half later, Mary came out of the Library holding a stack of books in her hands.

  “N..need help?” Because of the books, Mary was having a hard time getting down the stairs.

  “Kenji… you are a lifesaver.” Mary handed him some of the books as her arms began to ache.

  For the next couple of days she was going to teach her students the history of the Verse, which is why she borrowed so many books.

  “How is your progress on those [Skill Manuals] that I gave you?” After getting all that weight off her arms, Mary was feeling a lot better.

  However, deep down he was very nervous, uneasy, and angry at himself.

  He also felt helpless.

  “Teacher, are we going to study the history of the Verse today or not.”

  “Teacher, he is your boyfriend.”

  “Teacher is with a boy, no wonder you were coming late to classes.”

  The moment Mary entered the hall, a commotion broke out as all the young teens kept asking questions or complaining.

  “Alright, alright. Calm down everybody. Today we are only going to have a 3 hour class. We will only go through the history of the Verse, briefly.”

  Taking a book from Kenji, Mary calmed the kids down and placed the book on the desk before starting the class.

  “As we learned in yesterday's class… Sit down Deb, question after the class. Our Verse has a long history of documented Era's. First is the Pre-History Era, when Blessed Beings were born from the essence of the world.

  Although they were powerful, they weren't very smart……”
