“O..okay.” Kenji had no complaints about Muhammad's suggestion.
With the help of new teammates, he wouldn’t have to run away after spamming a [Ki Blade].
After Kenji collected the Ki, they continued deeper into the cave.
“Are they cannibals?” Looking at the half-eaten bodies of Kobolds that Kenji left behind the day before yesterday, Duy asked.
“Yes, they eat about anything that has flesh.” Muhammad replied, as he had already done his homework.
“Who would leave so many carcasses behind?” As they walked deeper into the cave, they came across even more half-eaten Kobold bodies.
“I did.” With all the chitchatter, Kenji felt like he was back with the workers’ group. Which wasn’t bad, as he kinda liked having people around.
“Why?” Duy looked at Kenji as if he was a fool. They had come across more than fifteen half-eaten bodies, which could be sold for around five whole Silver coins.
“Couldn’t…carry them…all.” As Kenji spoke, he heard footsteps and signaled both of them to stop.
Before long, the footsteps drew closer, and soon a herd of fourteen Kobolds stood before Kenji and the others.
“Graaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The moment the Kobolds saw humans, they instantly charged at them.
“Retreat!” Seeing that Muhammad and Duy were preparing to attack, Kenji immediately shouted.
The three of them combined were no match for fourteen Kobolds, even if only half of them entered [Fury Mode].
Following the tactic he was familiar with, Kenji launched a [Ki Blade] at the charging crowd of Kobolds.
The [Ki Blade] in the blink of an eye went through the bodies of five Kobolds.
“Grahhh!!!!”
With a loud scream, those Kobolds hit the ground lifeless. Seeing this, the others got mad, entered [Fury Mode], and started chasing after the humans frantically.

Using [Flash], Kenji instantly appeared in front of Muhammad and Duy.
Knowing that the Kobolds wouldn’t get to him very soon, Kenji stopped supporting his body with Ki and started focusing on recovering it.
“Hide…behind…those crystals.” As they left the sub-cave and entered a wider area, Kenji asked both Muhammad and Duy to hide behind the night crystals.
Feeling the urgency in Kenji’s voice, both of them didn’t question it and immediately found night crystals big enough to hide behind.
“Graa! Graaa!! Gr….” The moment the Kobolds came out of the small cave, they were confused as the humans they were chasing had disappeared.
Without looking around, they keep going, hoping to find the humans up ahead.
As the Kobolds passed by them, Muhammad and Duy felt a chill run through their spines. The furious Kobolds, with madness in their eyes, were truly terrifying.
On the other hand, Kenji focused on recovering his Ki without a care in the world. He had done this many times, and he knew he was perfectly safe there.
“I think they left. What should we do now?” Muhammad asked Kenji as the footsteps of the Kobolds disappeared completely.
“Let…me recover…Ki, then I…will be able to…use [Ki Blade]...again.” Laying flat on the ground, Kenji kept focusing on recovering his lost Ki.
“Okay.” Muhammed had seen the kind of damage Kenji's skill [Ki Blade] was capable of doing.
If he used it once more and only killed four Kobolds, then they should be able to deal with the rest.
Thus, both Muhammed and Duy waited as Kenji kept recovering his Ki.
Thud Thud
“Guys, I think I heard something.” Duy said as he heard footsteps heading their way.
“Don't worry…it's just those…Kobolds. They…never…leave the cave.”
Soon, the Kobolds walked past them and headed back into the cave.
Kenji, who had recovered most of his Ki, saw this as a golden opportunity. He got up from his hiding place and swung his dagger at the Kobolds.
Ki rushed through Kenji's arm, and traveling through the dagger, it formed a sharp arc as it headed toward the Kobolds.
With the surprise attack, the Kobolds were caught off guard, and four of them fell prey to the [Ki Blade].
“Attack!” Knowing that five Kobolds weren’t going to be that big of a problem, Kenji shouted to Muhammed and Duy.
Meanwhile, he himself used [Flash] and arrived before a Kobold, and with a single wave of his dagger, another Kobold died.
Before the remaining Kobolds had the chance to enter [Fury Mode] again, Muhammed and Duy killed one Kobold each.
Using [Flash] again, Kenji got out of the danger zone, as he was too close and any remaining Kobold could have gotten hold of him.
The last two Kobolds were killed by Muhammed and Duy.
“That was intense.”
“Kenji, your [Ki Blade] is amazing.”
After taking care of a big group of Kobolds, Muhammed and Duy happily celebrated.
“Let's keep…going.” After collecting Ki, Kenji signaled Muhammed and Duy to follow.
“Shouldn't we call it a day?” Muhammed asked. They still had to carry the nineteen carcasses back to the city.
“Isn't worth…it, they have lost too…much blood and will…only sell…for 10 copper coins.” Kenji spoke from experience, as he had worked hard to carry Kobold carcasses only to get just ten copper coins for those that had lost too much blood.
“Just ten copper coins. No wonder no one kills these Kobolds.” When Duy heard that they would only get ten copper coins for Kobold carcasses, he finally understood why hunters avoided Kobold caves.
“Only…bodies in this…condition are sold for…30 copper coins.” Kenji pointed toward the Kobold carcasses that he killed using [Flash] to sneak attack.
Bending down to look, both Muhammed and Duy noticed that the headless corpses had hardly bled at all.
“Next time…you guys attack…make sure to…aim at the…neck.” Kenji guided them both for a while before they continued heading deeper into the cave.
Whenever they encountered a group of Kobolds, Kenji would launch a [Ki Blade], and then the three of them would kill the rest using their weapons.
Like this, a few hours went by, and both Muhammed’s and Duy’s mortal bodies began giving out.
“I don't think I can continue any longer.”
“Me too. Kenji, do you perhaps have a body strengthening gift?” Muhammed asked. Kenji was perfectly fine even after battling for many hours.
“Something…like that.” Not wanting to get into the whole detail of him being able to use Ki to strengthen his body, Kenji replied vaguely.
“Are you…both sure…you can't continue?” Kenji asked, as he felt that with their teamwork they could hunt twenty to thirty more Kobolds in just two hours.
“You have no idea.” Duy replied while sitting on the ground, relaxing his body.
