  Anibeli's POV (last)

She saw Nezekiri twist and the barely of the gun was redirected upwards. One shot had hit her chest, but it did nothing visible. Nezekiri then yanked the gun out of the poor lady's hands, and clobbered him in the head. She dropped the weapon, and one of her hands booped Anibeli's nose.

"You see now, my dear? Helmets will save your life! You are getting one." Nezekiri said. Anibeli could tell by her tone that Nezekiri was amused. Add in the fact that a point blank lasgun shot did nothing...

"Yes, mother, I get it mother. Anything else mother?" Anibeli said snidely, a smirk on her lips. A flick to her forehead wiped the smirk off

"None of that, now. You are an adult now." Nezekiri said, chuckling. She were ignoring the 5, now 4 guards pointing weapons at her, acting like they weren't there. It was admirable, Anibeli thought.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Now, why have you come, my dearest friend? I admit, I have little in the way of amenities here, so I doubt it is for such."

Anibeli paused, then ordered her guards to check on the knocked out lad. One did, the others reluctantly lowered their guns. Anibeli paid it no mind. She thought about what she wanted, what she wanted to say, and more besides.

It wasn't unknown... there were precedents... but what about... AH, FUCK IT!

"Nezekiri, I want you." Anibeli said.

Nezekiri paused visibly, then began howling in laughter. "aaaaAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! OH BY THE DEAD GODS CHILD, NOT IN FRONT OF THE GUARDS! PPFFTTTTAAAAA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH SO... SO FORWARD? OH BY THE STARS MY FRIEND, I HAVEN'T LAUGHED SO IN AN AGE!"

Anibeli played back her words, then flinched. She grabbed the necron be the throat and began shaking her. "SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP THATS NOT WHAT I MENT! OH, BY THE EMPEROR WILL YOU BE QUIET YOU-"

It took a bit before they calmed down, and Anibeli explained. While xenos were not permitted generally everywhere, there was a precedent of rogue traders having... odd companions. She was a trader, most rogue she assured Nezekiri, and this would be a way for them to-

"I agree. Let us go. Now." Nezekiri said. Anibeli just stared at her, confusion emanating from her entire being.

  "Wha-"

"There is no time, we must go. Now. I will explain later, but we must go Now." She said. Nezekiri walked over and into the dropship, and Anibeli and her entourage were not too far behind.

Nezekiri sounded... scared. That... boded ill.
