As we ascend to anibeli's ship, I decide to give her a shallow rundown of why I needed to get off world fast. Not the full truth, as I don't think there's an actual point, but some of it.
"Anibeli. You wish to know why I was so... vehement in my desire to leave, yes?" I ask.
She hesitates, then nods. "While I don't wish to offend... you looked... nervous?" She said hesitantly.
"Be honest. It makes relationships much simpler. No, I was scared. Let us say that a... monster had me in its grasp. While I killed it... let us say that it might have lasting effects. I needed to be repaired, and I fled afterwards in case there were more. So, I wanted to leave, and you helped me in this thank you."

She simply nods, and let's it drop. She can probably guess that it wasn't the whole truth, but I hoped that would be fine. Perhaps I should elucidate later? Mayb-
A small skittering sound rang out, and I felt something move up my leg. It climbed up my leg to my chest, then ran down my arm. It stopped in my hand, and turned its single ocular to me.
"Oh? You are out of place..." I say. I can see the humans looking at me. Well, looking at the scarab. It was one of the smaller variations of scarab. It was used to repair things, rather then the general scarab that was larger and used to destroy and build, among other things.
I decide to connect to it, and... it was... different? It feels like some crypteks pet. The thing feels like a weird dog analog. I wonder...
I fiddle with my code, and with the connection I have with the scarab at the moment. I slowly, and carefully bind the scarab to me. It was something I hadn't ever truly done, but I had practiced a bit with some builder scarabs.
It took a while, but when we docked on Anibeli's ship, I was done. I had a new scarab friend. 6in by 4in, and about 2 thick, it would not take up much space. I put it on my back, and we stand as we dock.
She had called the ship a Viper Class Destroyer. When I asked its name, she replied that it didn't have one yet. As we left the ship, I couldn't help but think that it needed one.
