"90% of War is Information"-Short Corsican Dude

'Let's go with plan two'I said.

'I agree now how do we retreat without them nipping at our heels?' Anastasia asked, and it was a valid point.

'I could tunnel forward it would cost me all of my Mana and then some so we will need to have a break' I began to lay out the route that would make the most sense navigating around denser pockets of materials.

'why don't we just tunnel until we are out of sight' Anastasia replied, and now I now felt kinda dumb as I could totally do that.

'uh, yeah let's do that' I replied and we planned out a safe distance to resurface at.

'Alright well let's pull back we can plan the more nitty gritty details back at palace-ruin thingy' I replied as I broke up and destroyed the map I had made then I made a hole on our side of the slope and had our troops slowly pulled back leaving only the easily replaced fodder puppets to stave off curiosity from or enemies until we where all safely under ground.

Once I had gotten all the puppets underground I closed the hole and dropped the slope fortification. The remaining puppets above ground broke for it running as some of the Ogres began chasing after them all while the true army was returning to the spot we had indicated right beside a deposit of dense rocks to mark it.

I spent the majority of the journey tunneling forward closing the tunnel behind us. Compared to my other feats of [Geomancy] it seems simple except for the fact that I was also keeping a huge amounts of rock from shifting while also changing the density of a huge amount of rock in order to pull this off.

Eventually we came across the density pocket and I opened the exit. Shuffling the puppets out I closed the hole and making our way back via landmarks until we saw the collapsed towers of the ruins high on their cliff home.

Making it into the insides of it I was tempted to sleep but the dream of last night made me uneasy about the prospect. Instead me and Anastasia once again found ourselves in a meeting.

'Okay so here me out we continue to show up utilizing our superior attack power, information, and speed and we can attack and then disappear in the darkness.' I explained my vision we could wipe out all of the Ogres and the Yeti without another huge pitched battle and as long as we kept a big enough garrison here to defend Anastasia so she could continue making new elites and we could even switch off so I could forge!

'Wait a sec Boss can you go over word for your conversation with that old Ogre dude?' Anastasia asked me, and so I obliged retelling the conversation.

'wait a second you didn't mention them thinking your Giant after using your [Geomancy]!' Anastasia replied and I had a moment where I felt stupid because I knew I wasn't connected something major but also still didn't know what it was.

'Let me piece it together boss, the Ogres thought that you were an abnormally short Giant after you used [Geomancy] right?' Anastasia said slowly, and I knew she was slightly messing with me.

"Ah, yeah' I replied trying to figure it out.

'And the Yeti have something that blocks out Geomancy from ripping their Cities from the ceiling?' Anastasia stated as if it was a question.

'The Giants probably have [Geomancy] too!' I replied as my caveman brain connected the dots like a eureka moment.

'yes most likely considering the Yeti's made countermeasures at least' Anastasia replied.

'so the Giants are going to be a major pain in our asses' I stated as It was a fact. The Giants were gonna be a massive pain to fight if they had any amount of skill in [Geomancy] though it also meant that I could learn a lot from them.

'Alright then let's move forward, we do it shifts I take down a settlement and then you take down a settlement, I'll take the Yeti and you the Ogres' I explained a more thorough version of my plan.

The basic logic was that the Yeti where the most likely to have something hidden up their sleeves and I was the most powerful combat wise. Anastasia could easily handle the Ogres especially with back up as with me here the Garrison could be lightened.

'Alright well then we'll take the rest of today off and then you set off to the morning to Yeti Town-1?' Anastasia stated pointing to the second closest Yeti Settlement to our location in order to obscure our location.

'Yep I'll forge some weapons and prepare for tomorrow.' I replied as we both departed off to do our own separate things. Moving back to my forge I began to set out the ingredients to my list of items I would need. Anastasia had been kind enough to give me a list of the Puppets she planned on making so that way I knew what to forge and what not too.

I had two sets of Ogre armor and five swords and helms to craft. Starting off easy I began to forge the five swords first I made the rough shape of each of the swords and then began to iron out the kinks and imperfections before finishing and creating the handle and guard. After that I passed them to a puppet to sharpen.

Now the painful part the chainmail, setting up the molds once again I began to pour the molten metal into them being careful to prevent the metal from shrinking or becoming malformed. After that I attached the chainmail to the pauldrons and leg plates. It was late into the night when I finished and when I ate some food, this time I had pork from the Ogres livestock to eat which was incredible. It was a moment of realization as I realized how much I missed meat and how common it had been.

Finishing my soup I made it to my bed with a slight amount of trepidation I fell into sleep.

  ...

I awoke to the nudging of a puppet, blissfully there was no dreams in my sleep to night, no visitors or monsters just blissful night. Checking over my armor I had crafted I moved onto the armor I wore and it had repaired itself thankfully.

Eating another delicious bowl of stew I prepared the puppets that had been set aside for the attack. Two hundred total, with regular puppets acting as carriers for the loot and two Ogres with sleds to drag copious amounts of the dead to their slightly mad Arcanid creator.

So with a very brief look into Anastasia's 'lab' which I thoroughly regretted as it looked like a cultists bungalow.

So I set out into the darkness. We had to evade a few patrols of Yeti easily identified by the far off torch light. Using that and my [Geomancy] to sense then we managed to slip by them unnoticed.

This hanging city had a series of vines dangling from its frame work and that would be a pain to fight against. I assumed that the Yeti where prolific climbers and used them to climb up but me and my puppets where not. So I would have to make my way up. Taking my whole army arrayed I utilized a full quarter of my Mana to lift the earth into the sky. Their where skreeches of alarm from them as us approaching. Using another eighth of my Mana to make a domed [Force Field] around my army as projectiles fell from above.

Rising undaunted we slammed into one of the walkways and my army burst into action. As the Yeti utilized superior agility and a substantial terrain advantage I used my self as missile and the Ogres as grenades to bombard them. Smashing through towers. They had small groups of support come in but they where losing and eventually the support stopped and they lost the city. I took all the armor and weapons which were all terrible quality and through them off the city before me and the rest of the army descended from below.

We quickly ducked under ground as I burned through my remaining mana in order to effectively pull back to a point where we could resurface. Once we did it took us roughly an hour to make it back. All in all pretty boring we lost seven elite which was to many in order for it to be sustainable unless Anastasia up ticked production luckily their helmets and swords where intact.

Entering the ruins I collapsed for a nap waking up sometime later, searching for food I downed half of the soup that was being kept hot by a puppet. Without a thought I thanked it before moving on.

From their I returned to my forge with another order of equipment to make.

  ...

  Anastasia's p.o.v

  ...

Kien had come back and had soon passed out and eaten. He was working on his forging, right now. We had a brief conversation and he warned me about patrols but I was taking on the Ogres. Truth be told I didn't like being so much weaker then Kien in combat, but all I could do was try to catch up. Once I had finished my totem crafting of the puppets I had planned on making I begin to prepare the best attack and escape route that would hide our true location. The long stretches of darkness helped out massively in this regard.

I left with a force of three hundred just in case, it was the max that I could take without making it to blatantly obvious of where we where as I couldn't as easily hide them like Kien could.

Moving out to a far off Ogre settlement I began to plan out what I could do with a giants corpse if they did have [Geomancy] maybe they had a part of their body I could use as a focus to give a puppet the ability to use it? Ooh the possibilities!

As I saw the Ogre settlement in question I saw that this one appeared to be richer then then the other as their was actual houses peaking out with trees and plants poking out of them. They also had a much larger guard Garrison though they lacked the size of the large town/city thing that Kien destroyed.

I used my Ogre puppets to through large rocks at the town like the trebues that Kien mentioned well talking about some siege of something another. Their well screams of anger as some began to pour out though that was quickly stopped by the guards who began to rally the townsfolk.

Moving in with my puppets I began to use my [Toxikinesis] to spray my venom on to them at the same time the puppets worked in tandem to bring down the Ogres until eventually I had taken my own solo siege!!!
