“Well then are you ready for what this device is all about? the letter really didn't give us that much valuable information but I guess we just have to figure out what this device even does.”
Sayori agreed and said, “ I have never felt this excited since we got lost in that terrifying jungle.”
Hearing that made me remember the time when Sayori dragged me into a jungle and we got lost in it. We had to walk for hours and hours until we finally exited the jungle.
“That was all your fault you know, Sayori”
“Yeah Yeah whatever it was also your fault for forgetting the way.”
“It was my fault for forgetting the way? You're the one who dragged me there Sayori.”
“Eh, who cares all about that now. It was all in the past, let's just focus on the future.”
“But you're the one who brought it u-” Sayori shushed me before I could finish my sentence.
I thought to myself, this girl is unbelievable but perhaps these weird things she does is also one of her charms.
But for now I decided to focus on the device.
The device felt vibrant and perhaps warm, it looked like it was providing color while absorbing it at the same time, it was a sensation I couldn't describe. It was shaped like a bracelet maybe?
I picked up the device as a familiar scent washes over me. It was an eerie yet comforting feeling.
I looked at Sayori and asked with a trembling yet excited voice,”Should we try to use this?” Hearing that Sayori looked mixed up between the choices.

She said with an energetic yet mature voice,” I don't really want anything to happen to you, just promise me that you will try not to get hurt or else I won't forgive you ever.” Her face formed into a small pout as she said that last part out.
I nodded slightly,” I promise I will be safe.” I said.
As I gripped the device and looked at it carefully, strangely enough it wasn't doing anything. I had a look filled with skepticism and confusion.
Just a few seconds had passed until it suddenly jumped and wore itself on to me. My skin became really cold and as expected it had a metal feeling but it was somehow soft.
It was stuck on my wrist refusing to let go. While I was tryna protest and take it off, I could suddenly feel a bit of warmth coming from my wrist.
There it was. It was faint but I could tell…
It was a color. My wrist was no longer dark or grey; instead it was filled with a color, a color that felt natural, as if that I had been seeking for this color my whole life.
The device stuck on my wrist almost felt as if it was pumping color into my pulse.
By the look on Sayori's face I could tell she was also confused but amazed at the same time.
“Woah! Your wrist is glowing.” Sayori exclaimed, pointing at it.
Sayori touched my wrist, still amazed by the color, sure it was faint but it was still something we had seen for the first time in our life.
Just a few seconds had passed and the color suddenly faded. It looked like it was temporary but at that moment I could feel the shadow getting dwelled.
As the color faded I could feel the coldness coming back.I was really disappointed and I could also tell that Sayori was disappointed as well.
Suddenly I got an idea, “Since this device doesn't have any name and it dwells shadow, lets name it the shadow dweller.”
“Are you a genius or something because that's a very great name.”
“Well what can I say, I was born a genius after all.” I replied back.
“Now then, I suppose that we just have to go on an adventure now to defeat the witch don't we?” hearing that Sayori's eyes glowed in excitement.
When I looked into her eyes, I could see color in her eyes. Her pupils weren't dark as before but instead had a pretty, pure, calm, soft and delicate color, though it faded away in just a few seconds
I exclaimed in excitement,” Sayori!, you just had color in your eyes.”
Hearing that Sayori looked really excited.
“That means that there's still hope. After all, as long as we are alive there are an infinite number of choices.”
“Your’e right, we just have to never give up.” I replied back.
Even though this world is filled with mystery there is just one thing I know.
I knew that I had to bring back color in this world just so everyone can see the beauty of the color. Even though they hate me, I know where they are coming from. If someone stole all the colors maybe even I would hate their family.
Perhaps a tainted resolve is all we need to keep going in this world.
