Ever since the incident with the box and the device, around 2 months have passed.
In those two months, Sayori and I have been preparing for our journey beyond this area.
Sayori has been gathering stuff required like essential materials, clothes of course, some packed foods. She also has been trying to get more information about this world and our next stop in this journey.
Meanwhile, for these 2 months I have been training regularly, maybe it isn't much but I can truthfully say that I am somewhat stronger than before. I also found a map on the room so we know exactly where we have to go.
To be honest these 2 months just have been researching and training nonstop. We gotta know what's coming and we gotta be ready for whatever might try to harm us.
Oh and I also have been trying to use the device but no matter what I try it just doesn't work. I wonder if it needs some kind of a specific situation to activate or what. I am still not too sure but I hope to figure it out as our journey will go on.
Well then today I am going to meet up with Sayori for one final review of all the things we have to do.
Later on that day Sayori and I met up in our house.
“Cant believe that these 2 months just flew by. Tomorrow is the start of our journey, I hope that you're ready, Pacific!”
Hearing that really put my hopes up, “I am more than ready for this journey, I wonder what kind of things we will encounter.”
“Mhm, This world just has too many mysterious things. Oh! And I learned some interesting things. You won't believe what you are about to hear.”
“Oh, what did you find out?” I asked Sayori.
“Apparently in this world excluding our area for some reason the rest of the world has supernatural powers.”
“Huh? Are you sure?”
“Yea, very sure. I know it is hard to believe but it's the truth.”
“But why does our area have no powers like that?” I asked back.
“That is the problem, our area just has been excluded from the rest of the world since this is the place where the witch was born, so there is minimal to no information about the outside world. It took extreme research just to find those things out you know.”
Hearing that made me realize just how hard Sayori had been working for our sake.
“Yea good work, I will treat you to something later.”
“You better keep your promise.” Sayori replied.
“Now then, if we are leaving tomorrow then why don't we have a bit of fun today. Maybe a feast or maybe just a walk around the area. I don't really mind either.”
“Hmmm. Oh how about we just camp in the forest today, like the old times.”
“Sounds good to me, just don't make us get lost like the old times.”
“Dont worry, we aren't kids anymore, remember? And besides, we will be fine Pacific.”
“Alright then, off to the forest it is.”
And with that we set off to the forest to spend the last night here.
It wasn’t that far off so we arrived relatively quickly.

After arriving at the spot we set up our camp. The spot had some amazing views. It looks so good without any colors, I wondered how good it would look if it had colors.
The area was surrounded by trees. There was a lake in the middle and we could see nice views of the mountains.
I asked Sayori if we should go and take a walk around and she nodded excitedly.
We walked around the forest, to be honest it was nothing we hadn't explored already before, since this forest was an aspect of our childhood but still it felt relaxing and calming. Something just feels good about it, perhaps it was the sense of nostalgia.
Sayori and I talked lots and lots about our embarrassing childhood. We always had been somewhat crazy in our childhood. Doing dangerous things was just a part of our daily life.
The night grew darker and darker and we finally decided it was time to go to the camp and eat then have a good sleep.
We both went to the camp. I gathered up firewood for the fire while Sayori prepared the ingredients.
After an hour of cooking we both had a feast and went back to sleep, both were excited for the next day.
As the sun rose and somehow Sayori was the one to wake up before me which usually never happens since she is a heavy sleeper. Well I am also a heavy sleeper but she's on a bit of another level compared to me.
After Sayori woke me up we both got ready and went to our homes to gather all the stuff required.
After a quick gathering and checking of things we both were ready. We really didn't really have anyone else, so there was no need to say goodbyes to the others.
But we could care less about that, we then ventured off. We both were pretty excited.
“I wonder what kind of things we can find outside.” Sayori said excitedly. I could just hear the excitement in her voice. If anything she was a bit too excited.
“Yea, welp it could be dangerous but I would say we are plenty strong enough but I am not too sure how we can fight against those otherly world powers.”
“Oh! If they have powers there is a chance that we could perhaps awaken our own powers and besides you have the shadow dweller. It will be a great help.”
“Well I guess you are right. In any case we just have to get stronger and stronger.”
We talked and talked walking forward as time passed on. This was going to be a very long journey. I could just tell because we had walked for at least 3 days and we still could not find any villages.
That just tells how isolated our village was. No wonder we didn’t have enough information about the outside world.
We were just walking until we saw something off in the distance. It seemed kind of mysterious. We were not too sure on what that thing was or if that was a person.
Sayori and I both looked at each other and we didn’t even need to say anything. We just nodded and tried to approach the thing off in the distance. We both knew it could be dangerous.
As we approached the thing, we realized it wasn’t a thing. It was a whole village.
We looked at each other and we both were very excited since it had been 3 days since we saw any civilization.
“Pacific, look, it's a whole village.”
“Yea it is! It looks soo much more advanced than our village.” I replied.
“Ehhh?? Look over there Pacific, that guy is floating somehow.” Sayori said while pointing off a direction.
“Woah he is. Perhaps it is the power we heard about.”
“What should we do? Should we explore the village? Or should we go and talk to someone?”
“First let's reserve a room at an inn. Then we can explore the village and ask people.”
Sayori nodded at my response and we both made our way to an inn. The inn was really big. It wasn’t like anything we had seen in our village before.
We went in and reserved two rooms. Surprisingly it wasn’t that expensive though we still had to be careful about our money. Perhaps we could stay here and work or something to get some more money.
Though I don't think we have to worry that much about money for now. Since this much could get us through a long time.
I also realized at that moment that since our village was really isolated, no one would know that I am the witch's descendant. That also means I can fit in here and that the only place I will be treated like an outcast was in my own village. Though I am gonna change that soon enough.
We wandered around a bit before eventually stumbling across a guy and we decided we should ask him about the things.
I called out to him, “Hey excuse me, we are kind of from a far away place and we got some questions about here would you mind answering them?”
“Far away huh? Well whatever the case is, ask up.”
Sayori asked the man, “Well how do these magics even work and what kinds are there?”
“Oh that's a bit simple actually, in this world there are different types of magic ranging from elemental magic , creation magic , buffing magic and more. I don’t really know all the types though.”
Hearing that I could see the excitement in Sayori’s eyes.
The man continued talking, “Well elemental magic is just as its name sounds it provides the power of elements, creation magic just helps you create/convert things into whatever you want, though creation magic can also be kind of a gamble since you could either have the power to create anything or just have the power to convert things into just one specific thing may it be something like a sword or even just a spoon. It's also often considered one of the weakest magic but if you get lucky it can prove to be very powerful and buffing magic just buffs others.”
“Woah that sounds really cool and how does one even get that magic in the first place though?” I asked the man.
“Well getting them isn’t that easy, if it was easy then maybe all the people in this world would get magic. To be honest it is kind of a mystery, you could say god chooses the people who get magic. You could get magic right after you were born or get it later on. It usually happens in extreme conditions, I heard.”
“Huh? Gods? Are they active in the human world? If they are, can't they just bring back the colors?” I asked the man
He replied,”Well they are and the reason they can't bring the colors back is simple, the witch is too strong. You already know this but if you wanna bring back colors, you gotta defeat the witch. Well that’s all.”
Sayori and I both thanked the man. We were still shocked that the witch is stronger than the gods.
Sayori asked me,”Pacific.. If the witch is stronger than the gods how are we even supposed to defeat her then?”
“Well we just have to get stronger don't we? And besides, she challenged us, didn't she? We can't just back down now.”
“Well you are right but getting stronger than the gods is not just an easy task you know.”
“I know but we won’t know unless we try and besides, we are not all alone are we? We have each other watching each other's back.”
Sayori agreed, still kinda skeptical, that we both knew this was going to get really dangerous.
