The child is born under a full moon. This would promise peace and prosperity, but, on the week of his rites to adulthood, his village is attacked. He watches his brother butchered in front of him. In anger, he unleashes a force he does not understand and cannot harness. It draws men with a similar power. They pursue him. He is brought into their fraternity, and they put his life onto a course that he does not realize comes with a cost.
