We had been wakling aimlessly for a while, fighting those creatures from fiction on our way everytime. Fortunately, a lot of them were weak or perhoas the fact of having two aspotles and myself to fight them made it seem so. Jessica had been quiet for a while, it was quite uncharacteristic of this annoying girl. I still had no idea why she was continuing to follow us but I wasn't so unconsiderate of people situations that I would tell her to leave.

  Just like me, she doesn't have a home right now.

  I wonder what Li is doing right now.

  As if the world was answering my question, a peculiar set of images appeared on a tv screen behind the window of an abandonned bar.

  "Hm? What are you looking at, Miss Audrey?"

  I entered the bar, trying to get a closer look. Seems like I wasn't turning crazy, on the screen I could see the Allison girl, Li, the cat, Marth and Melissi. In the arms of Allison was a child she seemed to be protecting while the others all looked pretty beat up. Wounds covering all of their bodies. The title of the news was something like : "Heroes rise against the new threat. Is this a sign of hope for humanity?"

  On one of the pictures, I could see Li smiling warmly at Allison, caressing her head. I didn't know they were that close.

  "Hm?"

  "Is that fucking Allison?!"

  "Juanary, stop shouting in my ears."

  "Good work finding that bar, Verde. It's been a while since I had a good cerveza!"

  "Isn't that Miss Li, Miss Audrey?"

  As soon as Jessica noticed Li was there as well, her whole demeanor changed.

  "What is Allison doing with this kid from st time? Don't tell me she's keeping her all to herself. She was supposed to be my little sister!"

  Is she pnning to kidnap Li and take her home? Maybe she's even more crazy than that chick currently trying to get drunk drinking gallons of bear.

  Noticing what Maria was doing, Aria was quick to point it was unhealthy. To be fair, I agree with her, who knows what that pyromaniac would do if she gets drunk, I don't wanna become angelic barbecue.

  "Miss Cortez, you shouldn't drink that much. It's bad for your health."

  "Who cares, ?o?o? There's nothing better in life than a good beer. I'm a responsible adult, I can drink whatever I want whenever I want."

  Spoken like a true alcoholic. I felt like I was hearing my dad gze his vodka bottles.

  ...

  As much as I hated his guts, he was still my dad...

  I wonder why I didn't feel that much emotions seeing what happened to him... It's like my humanity is disappearing little by little. Maybe the st bit of humanity I have is only because I'm half human? Perhaps that part of the equation prevents from truly adopting the way of thinking of a being meant to be above humanity?

  I wiped those thoughts from my mind. I can't lose myself again, after all. When that child attacked, I was scared to use my power in fear of what would happen. This act of cowardice almost costed us our lives. My wimpinesss shouldn't cost the lives of Aria, Alma and Jessica and Maria. As much as I didn't like the st two I thought about...

  I should probably find a way to get this power under control...

  "Nio-what? What does that mean?"

  "A nerd telling a woman who's in her twenties not to drink is pretty me."

  "So you were calling me a nerd? I'm not a nerd? Are all girls that wear gsses nerds to you?"

  "That makes sense, it makes them looks smart, I can't stand looking at them. It's like they're mocking my bad grades."

  "You're just projecting your insecurities on them, Juanary", Alma contested.

  "What was that?!"

  "B-but I don't have good grades.", Aria meekly responded.

  Do grades even matter now that society has colpsed? What a weird thing to focus on.

  Maria sighed.

  "If a woman in the height of her 25 like me has to look after children, can I at least have some hot single dads rocking six packs while doing so? Why do I have to be the only responsible adult here?"

  We all looked at her, clearly trying to convey to her she wasn't a "responsible adult" at all.

  "Alma, I think she might be..."

  "Yeah, I know."

  "What a stupid woman."

  "You guys are acting like it wasn't obvious she was crazy and delusional from the start!"

  "Crazy? How dare you say I'm crazy, Verde?! Compared to my other self, I'm an angel!"

  Well, I suppose she has a point, I'd rather deal with this version of her than the other one.
