chapter 4: blood, sweat and death

The first thing I notice is that, The arena is big, like really big, and the second thing? The whole thing was only stone.

  and the third thing? Well...

yea... so that's good but where will I find teammates? I spent the whole time we got sleeping or thinking about that guy I killed. Uhm 'Solo' I tried

I looked around, there were no other people who were alone, I sighed and look back at the panel

  'Yes.'

a white light enveloped my vision, and I disappeared.

a few minutes later I appeared in a stark white room that was honestly hurting my eyes.

first off? turn off calm, I have time

next, change the walls to blue?

  the walls changed to blue.

  nice. next... a nice couch

a couch appeared below me and I sat

ahhh... the only thing that could make this better is a tv.

  and one appeared

  I guess that's all then

I really hope i can change this after I complete this

ah. Another short timer? I swear, this system is bias. I guess I should get ready, first of all, calm back on

second. Stretching for a few seconds and a deep breat- and I was gone

I was back in the arena. there was a team of 5 across from me, this... is bad.

"is that dude solo?" one of them said, obviously making it just loud enough for me to hear, a bit of mockery in their tone

"I can take this dude on solo!" one said then started running at me with an axe, honestly, I thought that was only something that happened in stories, but its good for me so i dont care.

Even with calm activated, it feels wrong to take out a knife to kill, but I have to.

they ran at me fast, when they got close enough I grabbed the knife and stabbed it out, and they swung.

time seemed to slow down as their axe swung down and my knife stabbed, i could feel my heart beating fast.

  And we both hit.

my knife stabbed into their gut and their axe hit my shoulder Ding!

I screamed, the pain so much much calm couldn't hold it back. I screamed more as calm tried to dull the pain, Ding! the pain dulled, if only a little. the person fell to the floor and the kill notification sounded, I fell over, my knife was out of my hand, and the axe must have been in my bone, Ding! the pain fell into the background as my calm slowly receded to give way stark focus on what I needed to do to survive. Ding! I grabbed the axe in my shoulder and in a pure force of WILL pulled it out, the pain not even noticed.

  and so I charged

I was slower than these people but they just saw their teammate die. I lobbed one's head off, Ding! then moved onto the next one, by now all of them had snapped out of the shock and were trying to prepare, similarly to me, none of them seemed to have been trained with a weapon, so we were on equal grounds. Good. The one I'm moving on has a knife, let's call them A, while the others (B and C) are unarmed, hopefully meaning they were weaker. A hastily tried to stab at the heart, luckily they got the wrong trajectory, so im able to lob their head off with ease. 2 Down. ding! I move onto B, they try to punch my axe out of my hand but I just move it slightly, then lob their head off, Ding! , and finally C. They are stunned from fear, they clearly wouldn't put up a fight. They die to a single slash.

and a torrent of messages appeared

I just managed to read it all before I passed out
