“Kenji, are you sure you will be able to carry them all?” Seeing Kenji continue piling Kobold carcasses, Duy wasn't sure he would be able to carry them all.

  “Don't worry…just help me…tie them.” If it were before taking the Body Refining Pills, Kenji wouldn't have even thought about carrying so many carcasses, but during the fight, Kenji realised how much stronger he had become.

  If before he was able to use 10 units of Ki to strengthen his body at a given time, now he is able to mobilize 50 units.

  “Don't just stand there, let's go.” Muhammed and Duy each picked up five Kobold carcasses.

  It wasn't long before they arrived in the city.

  “You seem to be getting better.” The Fairy immediately recognized Kenji. Although Kenji looked different, his soul was still the same.

  “Got…some teammates.” Kenji replied, waiting impatiently for the Fairy to give him the money so they could go back and get the rest of the carcasses.

  After getting the money, the trio rushed back to the Kobold cave and retrieved the remaining valuable carcasses.

  At the end of the day, Kenji returned to his room with an extra 5 Silver coins.

  Growl

  ”I even took a food pill today. Maybe it's because I didn't catch any sleep yesterday.” The moment Kenji entered his room, all the sleep deprivation came crashing back.

  Even though he had taken a food pill earlier, he was exhausted and wanted to sleep for days.

  Without changing his blood-stained clothes, Kenji crawled into his bed and drifted into dreams.

  The next day, Kenji woke up feeling extremely hungry.

  “Is there…anything…to eat?… Maria.” The moment Kenji entered the living room, Maria kept staring at him.

  “...What? Food, right? There are some leftovers in the kitchen.” Coming out of her daze, Maria didn’t know what got over her, but Kenji’s change was too much.

  After cleaning everything in the kitchen, Kenji still felt that if he wanted to hunt today, he needed more.

  Thinking for a while, Kenji took out the last food pill and ate it.

  Before long, Kenji was full of energy and ready to go, so he immediately headed toward the city gate.

  Meeting up with Muhammed and Duy, the trio headed straight for the Kobold cave.

  “Duy, can I borrow that sword?” The moment they walked into the cave, Kenji asked.

  Although his dagger was good, it was too small, and he had to get really close to the Kobolds to kill them.

  “Sure, here.” Duy handed his sword to Kenji without hesitation, even though it represented a month’s worth of blood and sweat.

  With a sword that had much more reach, Kenji became unstoppable. He didn’t even run after using [Ki Blade] anymore.

  “Kenji, shouldn't we call it a day?” Muhammed asked, feeling that those 50 Kobold carcasses were already a lot to carry back to the city.

  “How…about you…guys do the…first round trip, I wanna continue…for a little…longer.” Yesterday Kenji wasn’t in his best condition, so today he wanted to test his limits.

  “Are you sure?” Muhammed asked. They were already quite deep within the cave, and if Kenji continued any farther, he might reach Kobold village.

  “Yeah, don’t…worry.”

  Getting confirmation, both Duy and Muhammed picked up 5 Kobold carcasses each and headed out of the exit of the cave.

  “You hold on to that and make sure not to break it.” Before leaving, Duy reminded Kenji to take care of his sword.

  As Muhammed and Duy left, Kenji restored his lost Ki and then headed deeper into the cave.

  “Six, good.” Soon after they left, Kenji came across a group of 6 Kobolds, who immediately charged at him the moment they saw a human.

  Seeing the Kobolds rushing toward him, Kenji didn’t flinch. He waited for them to get closer, and with a single sword slash, he killed one of the Kobolds before jumping backward a little.

  Since his body was being enhanced by Ki, this simple jump allowed him to put a few meters of distance between himself and the Kobolds.

  Seeing one of their own get killed, the remaining Kobolds entered [Fury Mode]. But before they could rush him, Kenji used [Flash] and appeared at the side of a Kobold. In the blink of an eye, it fell dead to the ground.

  Knowing there was nothing blocking his retreat, Kenji pushed forward instead of creating more distance between himself and the remaining Kobolds.

  In a single move, another Kobold was dead.

  “Three down… three to go.” Using [Flash], Kenji retreated and waited for them to come at him.

  As expected of mindless creatures, the moment the Kobolds saw Kenji appear elsewhere, they charged straight toward him.

  Before long, Kenji dealt with all the Kobolds, collected the Ki, and continued deeper into the cave.

  For some time, he didn’t come across any Kobolds, but as he turned a corner, he was stunned.

  Instead of the passage continuing, he came across an entire Kobold village, with dozens of them lounging around a wide open area.

  “Graaaaa!!!!!!!!”

  Kenji tried to hide, but it was already too late.

  “Shit…” Seeing the massive herd of Kobolds rushing toward him, Kenji turned around and ran for his life.

  “A human. Go get me his meat.” Deep within the Kobold village, the Kobold Priest sensed Kenji’s presence and ordered his aides to kill him.

  Receiving the order, two Kobold warriors left the Priest’s hut and headed straight for the human.

  Using [Flash], Kenji instantly disappeared from the Kobolds’ view, leaving them confused.

  “Let’s just… wait for… Muhammed and Duy.” Arriving at a relatively safe spot, Kenji breathed a sigh of relief and started gathering the carcasses of the Kobolds he had killed after they left.

  Before Kenji could even touch the carcasses, he heard light footsteps and immediately became alert. Aside from him, the only things that moved this deep in the cave were Kobolds.

  “I am dead!”

  Looking toward the source of the sound, Kenji caught sight of two Kobolds in armor approaching him.

  Above both of their heads, the numbers [Level: 4] were visible, and Kenji instantly lost his cool.
