Pov: Fake Minato.

  "This is boring! I am capable of doing missions for a while you know!" Kushina whines from the dining room table.

  "Well... I just don't want to risk anything..." I reply awkwardly... maybe I was a bit too quick to take her away from missions, but its too te to turn back now since a month passed after finding out.

  I pce the st ptes back into the cupboard and fold the tea towel over my shoulder before returning to the dining room.

  I watch her from the corner of my eye as I sift through the box of paperwork I brought home, she is getting annoyed at pying cards alone all the time.

  "Hey! You have anything cool to look at in that box?" Kushina asks.

  "Hokage eyes only... actually, I have two lesser matters you can look at, one is a seal thief and the other is a recent string of merchant robberies" I offer her and toss two folders.

  No harm in letting her look through something as simple as that- ah, here we go... the message from the lightning vilge, trade? Why would they send an offer to trade? That's something the daimyo would normally deal with- oh, they want to trade knowledge... I scan the list and don't find much to trade with- maybe they have another objective, why would the lightning vilge need swordsmanship knowledge when they have their own... something very fishy about this.

  ...

  Ah- its not about the trade at all, the Raikage just wanted to send a ninja into the nd of fire... probably to announce a message to spies or meet up at certain locations without being overly suspicious... I will have T&I figure this one out.

  I sign the bottom of the document and add a note to follow up on- I then go to the next document in my box, daimyo wants to meet again? Seems to be a regur dinner with some invited guests... I can refuse this, I sign the document and add a note to politely refuse.

  I will write a letter tomorrow morning.

  "Hey- who made this seal" Kushina asks and I look up to see her holding up the copy of the goggles seal.

  ...

  A sudden fsh of orange eyes as deep of the depths assail me- a visage of terror and an unyielding spirit make me furrow my brow.

  That dojutsu is certainly unique.

  "Don't know yet, the man who had it was brought into interrogation yesterday by sensei, he believes he is a key to the recent thievery" I yawn as I start to go over my work again.

  "Something is funny with this seal... I cant pin point it though" She mumbles now fully invested in this seal.

  "Looked standard to me, though you would be the expert on this" I reply and she nods her head as she slowly stops paying attention and fully focuses on the paper.

  -six hours ter-

  *Rustle*

  I hear Kushina suddenly move, waking me up as well, she pauses for a moment and suddenly jumps out of bed to the dining room... I get up and follow her out of curiosity.

  "What are you doing..?" I blink a few times to wake myself up.

  "Ha- sorry, I figured it out! I knew something was odd with it!" She smiles confidently.

  "... did you dream about the seal?" I question with intense confusion.

  "Look- look! Its all standard!" She says and holds it up to me.

  "Were you thinking about this for... however long I was asleep?" I still confused ask her.

  "The corner here- that's like what everyone uses, it helps to guide the chakra into the patter and catches out any inefficient chakra being thrown away and repurposes it to be..." She starts to ramble on, clearly we are on two different wave lengths.

  "... Why did a standard seal keep you up at night? Never mind" I still confused yawn and sp my face to wake up fully.

  "... and that one in the centre focuses on repulsion of harmful chakra entering the eye that this seal focuses on drawing into the eye to blind it..." She continues on.

  "Where is this going?" I ask.

  "The seals are Konoha standard- and yet they don't use the same things... these are all ever so slightly improved components of the seal! Its the standard but upgraded!" She says proudly and I furrow my brows as I look at it... huh.

  Everything is ever so slightly better than what we produce... the foundational components have a whole new extra line... so this isn't stolen? Or the thief improved our formu instead of just making his own? Why would he steal if he can make ours better?

  -Back in reality-

  Pov: Kakashi.

  Oh?

  ...

  Oh, ho oh...?

  ...

  I flip to the next page as Gai approaches my spot, I stand on a tree and read a book from the make out series.

  He nds on the tree next to me and I continue to read.

  "Kakashi my eternal rival!" He yells out and I continue to read.

  "As cool as ever huh? No matter! I just saw Ryū at the Hokage office, wasn't wearing a cloak and mask- thought you might be interested in what he asked the Hokage considering the interest in who he was before...?" Gai sets out some bait for me grab and socialize with.

  ...

  Ah, damnit.

  I pce my book into my pack and lean on the tree as I turn to him.

  "Alright then, cough it up- what's so interesting" I ask.

  "Haha! He asked if it was weird to use nature energy without mixing it with his chakra, and the interesting thing is... the Hokage was surprised by this information" Gai tells me.

  ..!

  That is interesting.

  He doesn't, I am no master of sage stuff but clearly using raw nature chakra is not the way to go about this- what does he do with raw nature chakra? How did he turn it into what he does...?

  He clearly was holding back in that spar and that is downright confirmed with this new information.

  And the Hokage didn't know.

  How can that be? If he isn't Anbu or neither Root, if he doesn't hail from a Konoha cn... is he from outside? It expins why the Hokage didn't know something so important about him... and why he didn't know something so simple about his craft.

  Awkward... maybe had no social life before? People tend to be awkward when they don't usually interact with others, also very clumsy but not when he is sparing... so he is clumsy due to being unfocused?

  He also has a knee injury, I don't know the type but he would of certainly gotten treatment for it if he was in Konoha... but that doesn't make any sense as the injury is recent- almost sure it happened after our spar and before his new job.

  An outsider and loner who learned how to use raw nature chakra... and doesn't have any knowledge on traditional uses of nature chakra.

  ...

  This is getting even more confusing.

  "Anything stand out about his appearance?" I ask.

  "Hmmm... I suppose so, has many scars all over- light and nothing too bad from what I saw, orange hair and darkened goggles on his head... nothing else that stands out really" Gai tells me.

  Orange hair? I don't know any cns that have that appearance and deal with nature chakra... might have to check a cn guide book to refresh my memories.

  Wait- why was an outside hire pced anywhere near T&I- especially the position he is in, that doesn't ad up at all... what is the hokage thinking? No, he must have been from the vilge... but how? It makes so much more sense for him not to be...?

  "Thanks for the information" it definitely isn't making me ten times more interested rather than quenching my thirst.

  Pov: Kenzo

  My eye stings.

  At least I got some sleep st night, sucks that I have even less area to move in since tying down my arms and feet to ensure I don't use some secret technique.

  ...

  "Hello again, sorry about yesterday- are you all patched up?" I hear the fourth Hokage ask... I didn't even hear him enter... did he teleport right next to me? That is terrifying.

  "Patched... not feeling the 'up' part so much right now" I reply solemnly.

  "Would you be willing to tell me who gave you those goggles...?" He asks.

  "How do you know I didn't make them?" I joke dryly.

  "You were caught in a transaction involving the basics of the basics of seals... I am guessing that means no?" He asks back.

  ...

  Well. What do I do here? How do I turn this impromptu kidnapping into a learning activity for me? I cant really do that can I...?

  "Is there a chance I can leave this cell within the year to continue my research?" I ask.

  "Depends on your answers" He says.

  "Someone else made it for me, my grandfather was very kind to do so... he always loved to py with seals and I thought to learn what he loved- hence the buying of the basics" I smile warmly.

  Its kind of true in some ways.

  "Is that so, expins a few bits and pieces of your story... when did he make this seal" The fourth Hokage asks.

  "Uhh... a few years ago I believe" I reply.

  That kind of information is lost to me, too many memories in my head.

  Or I am dumb- both are highly likely.

  "Well now, that doesn't make any sense does it? Seeing as the seals are very updated- and above Konoha standard" I hear the old sannins voice again.

  ...

  I have no counter point to that.

  "Time travel?" I ask, might as well try- or it seems that I will be stuck in this prison for a few months.

  "That's all you have?" The old man sighs.

  "Ask me anything!" I beg.

  "Who is the Hokage from your time?" The fourth asks.

  Oh- I am not that far away...

  "The third..." I say.

  "So your seals are from the past? That makes even less sense than before" The sannin shakes his head.

  "Ah, well... this is awkward to say... the Third is in because the fourth is out..." I smile awkwardly.

  ...

  "Sure, ill leave this nut case to you Minato" The Sannin chuckles as he walks down the hall.

  "I only have two more minutes of my break so you better make it worth it" Minato says.

  "October 10th is your death date... uhhh, the demon fox attacks Konoha and is sealed inside Naruto- Naruto is this kid I met at the orphanage and we formed a brotherly bond, I don't know much else... I'm actually eleven years old if that helps?" I tell him as I slowly defte and turn into a child.

  Oh, that eased my restraints- I could have done that at any time... not like I could have escaped but I surely could have slept better.

  ...

  "Who are you" the room suddenly gets colder as the Fourth Hokage asks that with an intense stare.

  "Kenzo! My name is Kenzo, everything I do in this time does not effect my own! I uhhh- I really have no other things to say!?" I yelp out as he scans me over with his eyes, he feels a hint of fear... not from me, but from something else- what did I say..?

  the legendary fsh isn't afraid of someone telling him he died is he? I'm barely making sense as it is.

  "How did the fox escape?" He asks.

  ...

  "I don't know... I told you everything I know about the attack- wait am I free? Or are you leaving me here? Hello?" He leaves mid-sentence and I remain alone.

  ...

  Pov: Fake Minato

  Six months from now Kushina would be giving birth.

  How does he know about Kushina? That is a serious leak in Konoha security, I need to start looking through every crevice in Konoha to stop these thieving's and information leaks.

  Who to look at first?

  ...

  The elders- they are the only ones apart from me privy to the information of the nine-tails host, they need to be interrogated.

  I should have Lord third help me with this, especially since he would be the one with the most understanding of such things.

  One thing is for certain- that man cannot escape or leave.

  Pov: Kenzo

  I messed up big time, I am not leaving and I am almost entirely sure that the fox will not escape when I gave Minato six months to prepare against it.

  Well I took a gamble and that's all I could have done, I suppose I will sit in this cell for months and figure out what to do with my students.

  I get out of my bindings and sit on the floor cross-legged, gathering nature chakra to use.

  Gd they only restrict normal chakra down here- now lets focus up and think of another way to teach them this, I cannot learn sealing down here so its back to square one.

  ...

  Or? I could get a good scroll and learn sealing from that... more specific- lets learn 'Lightning Runes'... or something, the helper will understand what I mean.

  I just need to figure out what I mean... what kind of seals do I want? Stuff that can help my students... but if the runes automatically do the job then why teach them? I could sp that on people and Konoha suddenly has a lightning army... which makes me realise that would take an S-rank scroll to do... B-rank instant sounds nice if the Kyubi does destroy a lot of Konoha, but then again if he doesn't...

  Ill have to keep challenging scrolls these four months until I get what I want.

  And if I can't get anything good there I will have to take drastic measures in order to start a quest in real life.

  ...

  I can't specute on what the seals can do right now... so how do I help my students while stuck in a cage? Even if I figure out the seals I cant do anything in here.

  At the very basics they will need to learn how to fight with this lightning mana, a taijutsu styles specific to what the mana can help us do.

  So while I wait for October 10th might as well set up for the future, I will probably have some room to train taijutsu down here and they wont restrain me if I am not resisting them.

  I start pouring the gathered nature chakra into all my muscles, my skin feels like its about to melt as my blood boils the muscles around my body- what I want to accomplish is empowering them.

  *Cackle*

  A small cackling noise emanates from me as my veins glow orange and static makes my hair fly upwards.

  *Zap!*

  Arcs of lightning flow across my body and course through each muscle fibre...

  *Pshhhh!*

  The lightning dies down and steam bursts from my skin at an insane amount... sweat drips down my forehead and I feel lightheaded.

  I flop backwards to the floor and take a deep breath.

  First failure, that's fine- I have time... I just need to get it done better next time.

  -One month ter-

  "Is he alright? Why doesn't he eat his food?" Someone asks.

  "Just leave him be, he does this all the time" the other replies.

  I sit on the ground and silently meditate, instead of pouring all my power into my whole body I switch to focusing on one part to control myself and keep eyes off of me.

  -Two months ter-

  Haaa- Haaa- Haaa-

  Sweat drips from me and I rest on the floor next to my tray of food... I grab the tray and pull it closer to eat the potatoes given to me.

  This is slowly killing my body, I can feel my nerves shutting down and my heartrate getting slower... I need to figure this all out so I can better help my students.

  So I can better help myself.

  -Three months ter-

  "Hey! You are free to go!" Someone mocks.

  I gnce up for a moment and continue to meditate.

  "Tch- you are no fun anymore- hey! You guys want to py some poker!" He cheers to his friends down the hall.

  Unfortunately I fell for that guys cruel jokes once or twice so he keeps coming back, it doesn't matter anyway, I will continue to improve this skill.

  -Four months ter-

  The trick is to not boil myself alive, the lightning should 'hum' and have a dimmer glow, its less dangerous and is better for training.

  The next part of this exercise is choosing to boil myself alive... let me expin, at certain points in my body I should let the mana 'explode' and that 'explosion' causes that part to twitch.

  Now twitching sounds bad and it does hurt, but if continue to refine this I will have made myself the lightning limbs skill and would have started on the controlled crash skill.

  These two skills are almost too simir and even fall under the cloak skills banner for a bit.

  ...

  A couple skills might end up being only one, something simple expanded into many different things like ancient humans throwing a punch and figuring out martial arts from that simple action.

  -Five months ter-

  It will be October next month, I will have to bet on everything with just luck- in other news my meditation is nearing completion, I should have a new lightning skill by that time.

  My body also looks both 11 and thirty at the same time so I should make sure to supervise my students so they learn how to use the best method of training this skill.

  Full boil in the veins with maximum glow, the veins are built sturdy and can keep natural energy contained.

  The muscles need delicate amounts of natural soaking however as they will deteriorate if they aren't handled properly, I have the correct amount now so they will be fine and completely healthy.

  I also use the bones as the anchoring point for most my bursts of energy that make my arm twitch and punch in double speed.

  The explosive energy can fling me forward giving me a body flicker like move and my body is slightly faster and more powerful when soaked in mana.

  Powerful in the sense that I can punch a tree and leave impacts not powerful as I can lift a tree no sweat.

  Now all that's left is to siege Konoha and use whatever scroll I get to learn runes for my disciples!
