Pov: Kenzo

  Well, it turns out that buying an apartment as a homeless ninja is easier than anticipated, I thought it would be like earth where I would go on a useless fetch quest and see if I can discern if the salesman is trying to kill me or give me a safe space to live.

  Here using a few programs installed by previous Hokage we can have desk ninja search for an appropriate pce and hand us a few suggestions... all I need to do is inspect the pce and sign off on it.

  That... only took a few hours, its not even mid-day yet? Huh, I should get on with my other pns- I need to get some clothes and such for my casual wear... and food for my fridge to hold.

  Haaa- I am spending all my money aren't I? I head over to the same shop that sold me my Kenzo outfit and order duplicates of this set of uniform... before looking around the pce and buying clothes I can wear outside.

  I pick out some casual clothes and look in the mirror, first of all I no longer look sixteen or eighteen as Ryū I made some decisions and now I am officially 28 years old in looks and on paper.

  My hair is short and spiky, the very same deep orange that I love and much shorter on the sides- my eyes are still orange and my rough tanned self is still the same as before, just a little more aged is all.

  I have some light scars all over, deeper scars across my eyes and a really terrible looking knee, I researched the injury to copy so it doesn't look fake to any medics.

  I wear ninja pants in bck with my ninja wire bundle inside a pack tied to my left leg, bck and white shoes, short sleeved bck shirt with a button up long sleeved orange shirt on top, I left in unbuttoned and pulled up the sleeves.

  And as for my blindfold? I have asked for something to help me stay blind and keep both Kenzo and Ryū as separate identities so my eyes are covered with goggles instead that are darkened to convey that I am blind.

  The goggles were graciously covered in seals by our most amazing third Hokage.

  They have round gsses and a theme that is a cross between swimming goggles and something a mechanic would wear, luckily they aren't over styled and rather simple.

  I then pay for my items... get an estimate on when my orders will arrive and leave to go get food on the streets of Konoha.

  Going pretty well so far, I get a kebab as I travel towards the training ground, they should be there training on there own until I arrive but I doubt it, I take a small detour to buy a notebook and a pencil to start writing down my lightning mana ideas.

  Okay, lets start listing the names and descriptions, I of course cant get all of these but I can certainly pick out the best ideas and keep the others for ter.

  And these Ideas I should cap at C-rank level of power as going further would be a dedicated spell forging and I need the scrolls to help me find time for so many skills- the two idiots can practice one thing into a spell because they have limited time unlike me which they can use to focus down only one skill.

  Which means teaching them something versatile... I add difficulties to the ideas for future reference, I cant teach the duo with anything above one difficulty and above three is for my learning only.

  Ideas:

  -Lightning Limbs-

  Difficulty: 1

  Burst breathing but using mana instead, focusing the power into the limb in order to speed it up for crazy tasks- speedy kunai throwing or deflections, kicks and punches.

  -Controlled Crash-

  Difficulty: 1

  Pouring out power in one point to send the user flying in a direction... might need a lot of control so don't teach until I am certain it can work.

  -Lightning Point-

  Difficulty: 1

  Point at a target and release lightning in a line, either beam or bolt of energy, no need to detach the mana as this would be mid to short range bst without need of long range control.

  -Lightning Cloak-

  Difficulty: 2

  Coat body in mana to overcharge it and give passive statistic buffs, stronger, faster and such- would make one unable to use other lightning spells in the process due to coating oneself so more for them and unlikely for me to use it.

  -Lightning Weapons-

  Difficulty: 2

  Shaping mana weapons, mostly piercing weapons until C-rank as changing lightning into a full length bde is so much harder than just stabbing something with that same mana.

  -Lightning caltrops-

  Difficulty: 4 (detaching is something only I can do... after a long, long time)

  Throw lightning and detach it from myself, lightning doesn't need to be on the ground so, lightning mines of sorts that flow through the air.

  -Lightning Animals-

  Difficulty: 4

  Create animals shaped from lightning, kind of copying the ink menace but that doesn't change much- would be great for unique attacks and more importantly level up my mana shaping into new heights- might not be belled as a new skill as its just using the basic techniques in a more advanced way.

  -Lightning Clone-

  Difficulty: 4

  Studying the clone arts as those jutsu seem really nice to use, might get my hands on a lightning clone scroll to make my own nature chakra variant.

  -Shattered lightning-

  Difficulty: 4

  Think of the caltrops but being in full control over each shard of lightning, having them track and home in on an enemy. (Probably just a higher levelled caltrops)

  -Spark Wings-

  Difficulty: 3

  Something very, very advanced and unlikely to learn without the scroll, shoot lightning from my back and basically... fly- a lot of kinks to work out in this spell formu.

  -Spark Sprint-

  Difficulty: 3

  Explosive power of lightning at the heel of ones foot plus the sliding power of mana at the front of ones foot- acceleration and control all in one, improves my movement to ninja levels and allows me to learn water walking... kind of- more of a water sprint. (Learn so Kanata and Kat don't get too far ahead of me in traversal jutsu)

  -Violent Palm-

  Difficulty: 1

  Pure lightning mana through the palm into someone's body... a little violent and definitely lethal enough to only use on my enemies.

  -Spark Hand-

  Difficulty: 2

  Separate lightning mana into the tips of each finger to lighten the blow and focus on pure knockback power- something a lot less lethal in my arsenal. (Could name it dragons cw as well)

  -Lightning Wave-

  Difficulty: 3

  Stomp the ground and send lightning flowing around us, inspired by video game boss fights- might be tricky with the earth sapping away all that power... might need a lot of power behind it for anything substantial.

  I stop writing down my ideas as I reach the training grounds and listen to the two stop ughing at two bugs on a tree.

  "Attention! Satsumi! Raiki!" I yell out in a stern tone.

  They rush over and stand tall, bow, go for a high five- retract all of that and just stand normally with an awkward cough.

  I have revaluated my personality when teaching these two, being awkward will only encourage them to be zy and weak.

  So, I have decided to mimic the best idiot trainers I could think of- Earth military! Well, I was in school so... I will try to imitate the best recreation of the movies recreation of military life I can!

  "Do not do anything without my permission! If I want you to bow I will say so! If I want you to stand I will say so! The only words I want out of your mouth is yes sir and no sir! Do you understand me!?" I yell out sternly.

  "Yes... Sir? Sir!" Raiki replies confused but answers.

  "Yes sir!" Satsumi catches on.

  Well at least they can hear me, and acknowledge my orders- I am fifty percent sure they are acting stupid due to Danzo for whatever reason... but just in case they are actually stupid I need to find out how stupid, oh never mind.

  "What are you doing Raiki!?" I walk up to him and yell.

  ...

  My eye twitches.

  "Did I give you permission to stop breathing Raiki!?" I yell.

  "No sir!" He replies with relief, I think he thought he needed permission to breathe.

  Ah- he took my order seriously and is only replying with yes or no... oh well, I have no idea what I am doing either.

  "Psh- haahahaha! Dumbass!" Satsumi ughs.

  "Satsumi! Can you form your lightning mana into a simple circle!?" I ask.

  "No sir!" She stands tall and sps her own forehead for speaking out of turn.

  Danzo probably tried to keep them capable of following orders... so I am subscribing to the theory of actually dumb.

  "Then why do you think yourself better than Raiki? If your so confident you will be the first to fail! On the rock- sit cross-legged now!" I yell and they jump to a rock on the edges of the training camp and sit down.

  "You wont... hit us if we fail right?" Raiki whispers to me as Satsumi sits down and looks around.

  Ah, so that's what Danzo does to keep them in line.

  "... Failure is an option in this training course, you will learn to thrive on it- the only punishments which will be more training- will come from disobeying my orders. Understood Raiki?" I sternly reply.

  He nods his head.

  "Understood Raiki!?" I yell.

  "Yes sir!" He replies.

  "Satsumi! Close your eyes and concentrate on the boiling blood within you! The hotter the better!" I yell.

  "Yes sir!" She replies and starts to... do whatever she considers meditating, there is a lot of shoulder dancing in her version.

  "I feel pretty Hot!" She yells out a few minutes ter.

  "Yes sir!~" Raiki yells and they both chuckle.

  ...guess they aren't siblings- are they in a retionship of any kind then? They talk as if they hate each other, a love hate retionship built upon idiocy? Sure why not.

  "Concentrate on that hot feeling and try to pour it out of one of your fingers- the reason it is hot is because you have activated the mana, all you need to do is move it like chakra... just with ten times more focus!" I yell out.

  She points to the side and- *BOOM!*

  the rock under her shakes as lightning expels from every part of her body... okay- to be fair I spent years under a storm to breathe out this stuff so getting it down on the first try is harder than it looks.

  Guess I need to guide it for them until they can learn how to do it on their own.

  I approach her and pce my hand on her wrist, feeling her heart beat and temperature rise... she is unable to control that temperature like I can, unable to summon the exact right amount of activated mana- stuff like that can be solved at a ter date.

  I tap into her mana and start to take control over it slowly, she can shake off this control as if it were a genjutsu, but remains still as to intake as much information that I am giving her.

  They are doing this training out of order technically... but I am the one who made that order so odd anyway.

  D-rank is the gaining of mana.

  E-rank is the basic body building for mana, so pain resistance and training for skills like breathing for so long without fainting so I can perform a dragons breath without fainting from the pure power running up my throat.

  C-rank was... eating a dragons heart for my first skill, almost forgot about that- which made my lightning mana more potent and powerful, difference between an electric shock and an actual lightning bolt.

  B-rank I figured out forging... and A-rank would be improving a skill beyond basics.

  So-

  E-rank they haven't done.

  D-rank they skipped too.

  C-rank (Purifying Mana) was done by me for them, so they never needed to do that.

  B-rank is where they are at... which is unfortunate because they have no foundation, a foundation that I continue to widen and reinforce with more and more techniques.

  I try to have her memorize the patterns of control that I am showing her, like a remote control I simplify the basics into turning off the mana and turning it on again.

  I also make sure to call over Raiki to sit next her so I can do the same for him, turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off.

  "Sir..?" Raiki asks.

  "Yes Raiki?" I reply.

  "How... do you do any of this? This is so much harder to move than normal chakra, it feels so foreign in my body... like sludge in my veins- I burn it up fast and it takes over a day to regenerate even a bit of it?" He asks confused.

  How do I?

  ...

  I spent lifetimes in the orange box on a mountain, managing my efficiency, learning how to not move.

  Not a single bit of my body moving...? Why did I learn that? How does that improve my dragons breath? Not moving... nature chakra gathers at a quicker rate when not moving... I hadn't left the box before learning that step to understand my previous regeneration rate for my mana.

  Could it be that was learning how to maximize my efficiency for nature chakra which feels unnatural to use within the body?

  Mana in most fantasy is the unnatural use of a worlds ws... wizards learn to exploit nature for benefit.

  So- this is unnatural? To let nature chakra sit inside you and regenerate via heartbeats? I assume they also don't have the burst breathing which made me swallow a lightning orb that most definitely helps me transport lightning mana via the oxygen in my blood.

  What's more natural for them? How can I help them use it in a less... me way?

  Hmm...

  "That will be answered in due time Raiki, for now I want you two practicing these motions, I am confident you can turn it off and on alone, and even if left on it will only drain you of your mana which wont be dangerous to you" I say.

  "Were are you going?" Satsumi asks as I walk away.

  "To do a quick chore, now back to training!" I reply as I walk to the library.

  "Yes sir!" They both yell back and continue training with it.

  I quickly make my way to the library and because I have special jonin level passage I can get most materials on what nature chakra is... which isn't helpful when it only describes other people using it and not how they use it.

  ...

  Fair enough considering its a hidden art taught from legendary figure to the next legendary figure.

  Hmmm? The Hokage did teach the guy who learnt to be a 'sage'... maybe I should ask him? Cant hurt.

  I pce the books away and walk to the Hokage's office through the streets of Konoha.

  Eventually arriving I see that the doors are open and that a briefing for a mission is going on, oh! Its Lee's team! Cant say hi unfortunately, and now I feel homesick in my own vilge.

  "Ryū- this is a long mission report, if you have a quick question to ask I am all ears, wouldn't want you standing out there for another thirty minutes" The Hokage gestures to me.

  "Ah- thank you Hokage-sama, sorry for interrupting but I had a small... tiny, question about how one normally uses nature chakra..?" I ask awkwardly.

  "Hello Ryū! Nice to meet you! I am Might Gai! We haven't met but Kurenai and Kakashi have told me a few things about you!" Gai comes over and shakes my hand.

  I see Lee cheering him on and waving, and two polite nods from his teamates.

  "Hi Gai, I am- well you know me... good things I hope..?" I chuckle and smile.

  "Of course!" He gives me a double thumbs up, shining teeth combo.

  "What do you mean?" The Hokage raises his brow as he contemptes my question.

  "Like... say some friend of mine- totally not me by the way- used nature chakra directly.... and not whatever the book describes as 'sage' chakra... which if I am not wrong, is another thing entirely...?" I shuffle as I talk to amp up the awkward atmosphere.

  ...

  "Oh" the Hokage says in a whisper.

  "OH!" He says in excmation almost dropping his pipe in the process- he seems excited and erratic, as if I did something incredibly stupid, dangerous and not done before.

  Oh boy- I hope I didn't do something dangerous, stupid and or not done before! Of course the orange box made me do something ten times harder! Damnit I learned a technique dragons should know! They definitely live longer than seven generations which it took to learn how to use nature chakra like I did!

  Oh my! I cant- His expression just screams- haaa- okay, so I went around this the wrong way, I need to teach my two students something else as a basis rather than my stupid- oh so stupidly hard techniques!

  "Sage chakra... requires mixing nature and normal chakra, be warned though- without perfect stillness and the ability to merge chakra's correctly... the learner of these techniques will ultimately die" The Hokage tells me.

  ...

  N-normal chakra? Mixing energies? I don't know anything about that stuff!? I just got rid of my normal chakra!!

  I know absolute stillness but I cant teach them how to do that!!

  Okay- calm down, I can figure this out, I just need to calm down and pn a few things out.

  "Ryū... you have been using nature chakra directly?" The Hokage asks interested, I can feel Gai and his teams stares of interest as well.

  ...

  "N-no? Me? I would never... that's so stupid... didn't waste so much time learning how to do that... because that would be stupid and foolish" I lower my shoulders dramatically and go pale as Ryū would do in this situation.

  ...

  "We will speak ter, keep training until the moon rises at your training ground- I will come to talk" He says and I walk out of the room.

  Sage chakra... is a mixture.

  Okay- so I am just using the direct thing, that thing grows from my heartbeat and I can transfer that ability into other people... who will unfortunately have significantly less mana regeneration rate.

  Probably days of waiting for a point.

  But if I can get them to make sage chakra maybe they wont need as much mana in the first pce... so my techniques I designed wouldn't work for them like they work for me, they would use regur jutsu with sage chakra? Or because it mixes and disperses through the chakra points does it just do the same thing as a lightning cloak and buff the body and jutsu produced?

  But they can technically learn how I do it... they just need generations of life to somehow completely do it.

  Which is... impossible with every meaning of the word.

  Mixing... it goes wrong because the nature chakra doesn't py friendly when not used right doesn't it? I understand that at least from my experience.

  So doesn't that mean I can control their mana to not go haywire and they can figure out the right amount to use?

  But they would need me to activate the sage chakra and wouldn't be capable of using it themselves, so they just get extra mana storage for no reason at all.

  This hurts my brain- I need to teach them how to sit still, oh- no, Satsumi meditating had way too much movement involved! Raiki wasn't any better! The more I think about it the worse it gets? This is why they were chosen to test this... luckily I didn't give it to Naruto and he couldn't do anything with it- or accidentally mixed it and got harmed or worse...

  I arrive back at the training ground and as I approach I listen to them activating and deactivating the mana... from dormant to boiling and boiling to dormant in seconds.

  They seem to be capable enough to do that... I approach behind Raiki and tap into his mana once more.

  ...

  I click my tongue to take over a bit of his regur chakra... moving it to one of the chakra points near his heart and I take full control over his mana.

  Mix... what's the right amount to mix- no, I need to figure this one out, my nature chakra has been changed by so many different factors it would be odd to call it nature chakra... that's why I call it mana.

  This isn't shaping... nor forging... it would be a detachment exercise, just a step up with concentration and diligence.

  Detach the mana and chakra so it doesn't harm him, I then slowly, ever so slowly, move the mana through him into my finger.

  I point my other hand to the sky and try the first most obvious mixture.

  *BANG!*

  Lightning is sent flying through my body and up to the sky, I swiftly evacuated the mana before it went... boom.

  50/50 mixture didn't work, too much mana and not enough chakra, the mixture made the mana spread thinner and pull quickly... resulting in the boom.

  "Uh... sir?" Raiki starts to sweat.

  "Stay focused" I say and try the next mixture.

  *BOOM!*

  90/10 is still too much mana, having ten percent being mana for some reason makes it just as votile.

  But for a different reason.

  Lets do it again, this time I have to focus and discern
